Lets talk about hairloss

Hair loss is an incredibly common problem and yet one that many find hard to talk about. We can loose up to 80 hairs per day naturally. However anything beyond this needs to be addressed.

Sebamed Anti-Hairloss Shampoo

Sebamed Anti-HairLoss Shampoo - Whether you are a woman or a man hair loss can be embarrassing, it can be hereditary but more importantly it can be a sign that's something within your body is not happy. Therefore at the first signs of any type of hair loss, no matter how small, I would always suggest you speak to your G.P. I suffer with hair loss, and more to the point I suffer from bald patches and whilst this is incredibly uncomfortable for me to say, it is something that is real and something that upsets me on a day to day basis. At first glance it may not be noticeable as I have super thick, waist length hair, but its there and whilst im not going to point it out, I am sure you have seen it. Mine was caused by a topical steroid lotion, to deal with a dermatitis type scalp condition caused by long term medication. Over time this created bald patches and made some sections of my hair weak. Luckily I have found a natural alternative treatment for that condition in the form of a brand called PurePotions. I have also discovered Sebamed Anti-Hairloss shampoo and I think it is absolutely amazing.

To maintain healthy hair, the hair papilla and follicle need a constant supply of Oxygen and nutrients. Any time we are stressed, unwell or eating a poor diet, as with the rest of our body, the correct nutrients do not get to the important parts of the body. The scalp becomes affected by this lack of nutrients and impairs hair growth and can make it weak.

Sebamed Anti-Hairloss shampoo is Soap and Alkali free and activates the function of the scalp using a special formula including Caffeine and Ginko Biloba. It stimulates the circulation to the scalp and increases this by 75% wow! This increases the Oxygen and nutrients which get to the follicle and make strong, healthy hair.

Sebamed Anti-Hairloss Shampoo

Sebamed Anti-Hairloss is a daily hair care use. Reading the label on the back you need to see how much shampoo to use depending on your needs. Wet your hair and  Put the correct amount of shampoo into your hands and lather. Spread this all over your scalp and gently massage in for two minutes so that the active ingredient's can penetrate the scalp. This creates more of a gentle foam which can then be smoothed down the length of the hair. It smells really fresh and not medicinal at all, I actually enjoy the scent. After rinsing I did feel some tingling on the scalp which subsided really soon and was encouraged by this knowing that the ingredient's were working. The pH value of 5.5 protects and strengthens the hair and my hair always feels soft and clean after use. I do apply my conditioner too. You do have to use this as often as possible to see results, ideally daily and over time, the hair roots will become stronger meaning less hair loss. Obviously if you have any scalp conditions or sensitivity check with your doctor before using any shampoos of this kind, and there are many on the market. I have found using the product a very positive experience and whilst it will not bring back hair, it may slow down and stop further hair loss, and that's good enough for me.

  1. I'm really sorry to hear about this hun, but it sounds like you're coping with it so well and have found products that are helping. I seem to shed a lot of hair and at times it seems to increase and I worry a lot about whether or not it's a normal amount - not meaning to compare as obviously that is not the same as what you've described, but it made me feel a bit easier to read that 80 hairs per day is a normal amount to lose. It sounds like so many but I suppose we have thousands and thousands on our heads! I think I may give this shampoo a try even if just to set my mind at rest a little if it could strengthen my roots and reduce the amount of hair I see falling every day (or find all over the floor, in my brush, in the shower, down the back of my clothes itching me etc etc!). I'm an every day washer anyway as I have greasy hair - did you find this shampoo made you hair more or less greasy at all? Also wondering if it's okay for men to use - my boyfriend currently using Alpecin but maybe he should give this a go?

    1. Hi Gemma, thanks for popping by. Yes, I do have some hair loss and it does make me feel self conscious but it is localised to one spot. I think shampoos of this kind are important, as you said, for that peace of mind of knowing the roots are stronger. I really would recommend this shampoo. See hoe your BF gets on with it, take care xx
