May Beauty Favourites - Skincare, Perfume and Make up

I cannot believe we are at the end of May already! This year is absolutely flying past and I still have so much to do! It's been a tough month for me for many reasons, so my favourites are those that have saved my skin when I have been feeling and looking absolutely dreadful. However, don't let that put you off as you may find some hints and tips or products that may help you too.

May Favourites 2017

Without further ado lets crack on with my May favourites.
 A'Kin Rosehip Oil with Vitamin C -

A'Kin Rosehip Oil
If you are a fan of A'kin Products as I am (more HERE) you will know how much I adore their Rosehip oil among other products. This incredibly effective product from A'kin contains  100% Organic Rosehip Oil which is combined with Vitamin C and Macadamia Oil. What this means is, for anyone with sun damaged skin or those that may have problems with pigmentation or skin tone, all of which I do, this can help reduce all of these and give us more radiant, nourished, healthier looking skin. After cleansing and before moisturising apply 3-4 drops of this beautiful, bright Orange oil to the face and neck and gently massage in. It does have an earthy smell but that dissipates very quickly. What I love about this oil is that it doesn't leave any oily residue behind after I have applied my moisturiser and helps my moisturiser work harder. This makes a great base for make up and is perfect for those of us with stressed, dehydrated skin that would absolutely benefit from using an oil in the daytime. With increased, daily use, my skin has become so radiant and soft, I love it. Can be used twice a day as needed. For me this month, this has been a godsend as I spent some time in bed unwell and my skin looked awful and was incredibly dehydrated. I was slathering this on as often as possible ( as it lives on my bed side table) to help keep my skin looking and feeling better than I actually felt. A real "Ride or Die" product for me.

Jane Iredale LemonGrass Loves Hydration Spray -

Jane Iredale LemonGrass Loves

This has been one of my favourite products for months! If you follow me on InstaStories you will always see me posting about this spray. I adore Mist sprays anyway but this one smells incredible. This spray is sooo addictive you will be spraying it all over, it is incredibly hydrating and the perfect finishing touch to set your mineral make up look. Full of hydrating ingredient's such as Lemon Grass, this facial spray helps minimise the appearance of pores, holds back oiliness and also stops the skin from drying out and gives and all over plumpness to the skin. It is a light spray that smells delicious and feels lovely and cooling on the skin. Great to wet your shadow brushes with and transform your minerals into eyeliners. Seriously, once you use it you will  become addicted. I use this as a make up setting spray, I use it when I am feeling unwell and my skin needs a pick-me-up, when I am in a hot bath I spray this over my face, in warm weather it cools me down and also just before I remove a hard face mask, I apply a spray of this. A very versatile, vegan friendly mist with 100 % of profits being donated to Against Breast Cancer.

Becca First Light Priming Filter -

Becca First Light Priming Filter

If you have not yet tried this product from BECCA, then I suggest you make this your very next purchase. This cool, lilac looking primer applies clear to the skin and using light reflecting particles, adds the most beautiful glow and sheen. Full of hydrating and nourishing fruit and flower extracts it nourishes the skin in a veil of hydration which makes it lovely to wear on its own or as a primer under make up. It smells very zesty and mouth-wateringly good and any type of make up can be worn on top of it. I love, Love, LOVE it!!

Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals Foundation -

Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals Foundation

One of my favourite Liquid foundations especially in summer is this liquid mineral foundation from Jane Iredale. Already on my second repurchase, I cannot say enough good things about it. For someone like me with dehydrated skin that shows pigmentation, this is perfect. This is one of  my go to summer foundations as it offers a sheer to medium coverage which looks beautiful over a light tan. Obviously if you do not have many imperfections you want to hide this would be fabulous all year round. The airless pump bottle contains spheres of encapsulating liposomes. You can see them sitting in the gorgeous liquid ingredient's. Containing Hyaluronic Acid which is key for hydration, Vitamin C which brightens and helps against sun damage and Coenzyme Q10 which can help reverse the signs of ageing, this foundation has the formulations which you would expect in an amazing skincare product.

When you first pump this foundation out its better to pump it onto the back of your hand. You will notice the foundation has a spongy texture when it comes out so I like to give it a little mix and blend on the back of my hand to distribute the ingredient's and then apply it to my face. It feels so lovely and cooling and very, very light. I wear the colour Warm Silk and it is the most perfect colour for me. This is great at covering fine lines and wrinkles and covers pores well, but as I said it is a very sheer, natural coverage. It keeps my skin hydrated all day and lasts until I take it off. Leaves a lovely finish with a beautiful sheen. If you love mineral make up you will love this liquid mineral foundation which is also suitable for vegans. Great for all skin types.

Morphe 350 Palette -

Morphe 350 Palette

Containing and array of gorgeous shadows, this 35 pan palette is a one stop shop for any look you wish to create. Full of deeply pigmented shadows varying in colour from earthy neutral tones of peaches, browns and warm oranges, this palette is incredible value. If I want a base shadow, I reach for this, if I want a quick look to brighten my blue/green eyes, I reach for this, if i am in a rush, I reach for this. With no fall out and the softest, buttery shadows, this has been my go to through the warmer weather of May.

By Invitation EDP -

By Invitation EDP

By Invitation is the fine fragrance created by Michael Bublè . Described as a glamorous "Flori-ental" this easy wearing perfume suits everyone. With top notes of red fruits and bergamot, added heart notes of lily of the valley, wild jasmine and spicy peony, its the warm, sensual notes of sandalwood-musk and Vanilla that do it for me. A really bright, flirty fragrance that dries down to an incredibly sensual scent. This is not your "typical" celebrity fragrance, this is one that you will wear daily and receive compliments on each and every time. This is Classy. The gorgeous atomiser shaped glass bottle, has a modern edge  and looks beautiful on the dressing table. I have really been enjoying wearing this fragrance again this past month. Lots of neck nuzzling goes on when you wear this so be prepared!

I hope you have enjoyed my May favourites! I would love to know which beauty products you have been obsessing over this past month, do leave me a comment below xx
