It is always an exciting day when Tarte drop a new eyeshadow palette, especially when it is as pretty as this Love, Trust & Fairy Dust Palette. Whilst I most definitely do not need another one (as my addiction has grown considerably lately) there was no way I could let this gorgeous product slip through my fingers.
Firstly, this palette is super Instagram worthy, with its pretty pink design covered in stars all over the front, it is beautiful. Secondly, the shadows are just gorgeous. If you Love the Ladies Night palette, HERE, then I know you will adore this. The mirror inside the palette is also large enough to make this your only make up mirror when travelling and has the quote love, trust & fairy dust on it.
Containing creamy eyeshadows and 1 highlighter, these feel like butter. They are super creamy to use and lay down such deep pigment. There was fall down with a few of the metallic shades, but a quick swipe away and it was fine. Made using Amazonian Clay and mineral pigments, these can help smooth out the eyelids and literally stay put all day. I always use a little shape tape as an eyeshadow primer anyway, just to cling on a bit more.
When using the more metallic shades I find dabbing them on with my finger, or a flat brush sprayed with some Mac fix plus, gives them the best, bright pigment.
Shades included are :
Mystical – Metallic Magenta
Wish – Deep Matte Plum
Gossamer – Cream Matte
Frolic – Light Brown Matte
Twinkle – Metallic Gold
Flitter – Metallic Light Pink
Wonder – Deep Plummy Matte Brown
Whimsical – Purple/Mauve Matte
Giggle – Light Mauve Matte
Magic – Metallic Rose Copper with Silver Shimmer
Flower Crown – Metallic White Champagne Highlight shade
Suitable for all skin tones as you can build the pigment if need be, this really is a versatile palette. You can create a pretty, light natural day time look, a Smokey evening look or a magical festival look.
I absolutely adore this palette, it looks great, smells amazing and is super pretty on. I know you will too. The mauves look absolutely stunning on blue/green eyes and are colours I always gravitate towards and the highlight really does pop.
A palette I know I will use time and time again.
