I cannot tell you how excited i was when i found out Rare Beauty was launching in the UK. The Beauty brand of Pop star Selena Gomez has proved to be super successful across the pond since last Autumn and it was only a matter of time before we receive it in the UK. Having been her just two shorts weeks, i purchased on launch day and have been loving having a play with this brand.
To be honest im not usually a huge fan of celebrity brands, but Rare Beauty caught my attention from the offset. I really like the simple aesthetic, the affordable price point everything is under £30 and of course the fact that it is Vegan and cruelty free.
I purchased these products myself and as much as i really wanted to add the foundation to my collection, i struggled with finding the right shade, ill come to that later. Having launched exclusive to Space NK, they had a great selection of products from the brand.
I choose the following items:
Containing
This set is such great value, yes the products are mini but it is honestly such a great way to try the brand, and the products will last a while. I literally love everything in this kit and have featured it in a video on INSTAGRAM. The Packaging is just so pretty and looks lovely on the dressing table. The liquid blush in the shade Joy is so beautifully pigmented that i promise you a little goes a long way. It is a Orange/Peach mousse-like-texture that blends beautifully into the sheeks. 1 to 2 dabs on the cheek is all that is needed then you can gently blend with your fingers or a beauty blender. The pigment is hydrating and lasts all day.
The liquid Luminizer is absolutely gorgeous. A champagne pink pigment adds a stunning glow to the high-points of the face. The doe foot applicator in the tub makes it easy to add a couple of dabs on the cheeks bones and again your fingers of beauty blender easily melt this into the skin. I love a liquid glow for adding that youthful look and this is something i will most definitely purchase in full size.
Lip soufflé Matte Lip Cream in Inspire is exactly what is says. It is a lightweight, almost whipped mousse texture that feels so comfortable on the lips. Described as a matte it is nothing like a matte you might usually know. It is so comfortable and wears beautifully. I love this formula i think it is the way to go with Matte lipsticks. For me, the shade doesn’t suit me, its more of an Orange Red so if that is your colour you will love it. I will deffo try a different colour as the formula is so comfortable.
If you love a mascara with a fat wand, you will love this!! This is fast on its way to becoming my favourite mascara ever and i have worn it everyday since!! It is jet black, and adds such a gorgeous almost fluffy volume to the lashes. It lasts until you take it off and does not flake off the lashes. I’m such a convert!
I honestly think this is such great value and i have loved everything in here aside from the lip shade. I think its a clever choice of shades as it would suit all skin tones and as i have said the blush and highlight products are so pigmented and a little goers a long way. Available HERE
Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer

I really wanted to purchase the foundation but was worried about my shade match so opted for the concealer instead as i kind of thought if i got it wrong it was smaller and cheaper than the foundation. I went onto the rare Beauty website and tried to shade match. I matched as 190w but sadly its a touch too yellow for me, i kind of think i can make it work but i’m still playing with it. What i can say is that the coverage on this is epic. To me its almost a dupe of Tarte Shape Tape. If you like that consistency which is full coverage and almost thick in feel, you will love this.

It has a gorgeous light diffusing feel to it, brightens and covers dark circles perfectly. It doesn’t sit in my fine lines or accentuate them and blends beautifully with the warmth of your finger or a damp beauty blender. The doe foot is half the shape of there’s but is perfect for adding a dot of concealer to the under eye area. Available HERE

True to Myself Eyeshadow Palette

This palette spoke to me on so many levels. First off the colour palette is so pretty if you love pink/purple tones. The packaging is gorgeous and it doesn’t contain a crappy make up brush that you would probably throw away. Containing six Matte and Shimmer shades plus a glitter top coat. The shadows are sooooo pigmented and so soft when you blend them they are beautiful.

The shimmers can easily be applied with your finger or a brush and the same with the glitter, you don’t really need glitter glue. The only fall down i have had is from the Glitter but that’s quite normal for a glitter shade to be honest. The mirror is really nice and clear and big enough to do your eye make up in and i just think it is such a pretty, pretty eyeshadow palette. Available HERE

All in all i can honestly say i am super impressed with this collection. I really want to try more lipsticks and cream blush and of course the foundation when i can figure out my shade. Honestly if you are looking for a new make up range that is Vegan and just so pretty i can personally recommend Rare Beauty.
