With life being so busy all the time – juggling jobs, family time, fitness and a social life, it can be so hard fitting in those all-important beauty treatments. Finding time to travel to appointments, taking the time to sit in the appointment and travel back can not only be time-consuming but also costly. Boots have a vast range of DIY beauty treatments that you can easily do at a time that is convenient to you, in the comfort of your own home. With salon style treatments available, from gel manicures and pedicures to at-home LED facial treatments and hair colouring, I have chosen some of the easiest to do, but that also create an impact.
Estee Lauder Brow Now Volumizing Brow Tint
If you don’t want to commit to fully dyeing your brows at home, this product from Estée Lauder is absolutely genius! This is a long-wearing, fibre-enhanced formula that effortlessly fills and tints your brows for fuller, natural-looking brows that last up to 12 hours. The micro-tapered brush allows for precision application and blending, and there is a shade range of clear, blonde and brunette (I wear blonde). It’s easy to use, just angle the brush to the bottom of the brow and pull up and out shaping as you go.
This eyebrow tint is applied by brushing onto the brows, giving them a fuller look. Being water and humidity-resistant, this is a great product that will cover grey, blonde or sparse brows until your next salon appointment. I adore this product.
Philip Kingsley Body Building Weightless Shampoo
I appreciate how lovely a wash and blow dry is at the salon but if time doesn’t allow, don’t settle for a “bog standard” quick rinse in the shower. Veet Pure Inspirations Wax strips have a hypoallergenic formula which is gentle on the skin leaving you with up to 28 days of smooth skin. This pack contains 40 wax strips and 4 perfect finish wipes.
Easy to use following the instructions on the back of the pack you just peel the strips apart, apply one to the skin in the direction of the hair growth, rub a few times in that direction, hold the tab, hold the skin taut and pull as fast as you can in one swift motion. You then finish by wiping a Perfect Finish wipe across any areas with any wax residue left behind. The legs are left smooth and I find it to be such a quick and convenient thing to do at home.
I really do find that creating my own at home salon routine using DIY beauty treatments gives me that moment of ME time when I need to relax, without leaving the house, or when I’m time-poor. Knowing these products are readily available takes away any stress about getting to and from appointments. I have everything that I need at home.
