Tarte Rainforest of the Sea hits the UK – New Launches, Spring Make up

You know how much i love Tarte cosmetics on my Blog and i am so excited to bring you news of their Rainforest of the Sea Collection!

Rainforest Of The Sea Collection

Finally launching their new collection in the UK on March 24th, i have a sneak preview of some of the beautiful items that will be airing on QvcUk ( Their only UK stockist)  and available on-line from that date. This post contains so much Tarte loveliness so make sure you have a glass of something nice, sit back, relax and enjoy.

For those of you that are new to Tarte it is a range that has taken the USA and now the UK by storm. I have featured the beautiful Amazonian clay based cosmetics on my Blog many times. Just go to the search engine of my Blog and type in Tarte and you can catch up on previous posts. Items are sold as collections on Qvc and below i have put them in the configuration they will be sold.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation

Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation with Brush – 30ml The Rainforest of the Sea range is a proprietary blend of marine flower extract and algae that aims to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and smooth and soften the skin. This Hypo-Allergenic formula also contains vitamin E that acts as an antioxidant, and helps defend your skin against free radicals. This foundation actually looks after your skin as you are wearing it and over time can brighten and restore your skin tone. It is just like having skincare in your foundation!. Considering this is a full coverage, 12 hour wear foundation, it is really lightweight on the skin.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation

I was sent the Light Natural/Light Medium shade and feel this is absolutely perfect for my skin tone right now. It has a brilliant delivery system via a dropper in the top of the lid. Press the button in the lid down once, then lift the dropper out and press the dropper again to release the fluid onto the back of your hand or brush. Now, i love the Amazonian Clay 24 hour foundation, i love the coverage and feel of that, but this , this is so much lighter and still gives beautiful texture with a glow. I also love the packaging and design of the foundation as it comes in a high end glass bottle that looks gorgeous on the dressing table.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation with dropper

Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation comes with a beautiful double ended foundation brush. The brush looks so pretty in the matching purple and gold tones to the foundation lid. The two double ends are so soft and blend the foundation in perfectly. The angled end allows you to add and build the coverage of your foundation, whilst getting into the contours of your face, eyes and nose. The larger slightly fluffier end allows you to buff  the foundation out. I really rate this foundation. It feels beautiful, looks gorgeous and gives a lovely long lasting, non patchy coverage. It does say full coverage but on my skin it was more of a medium coverage.  This will be perfect for warmer days where a lighter foundation is needed and will leave your skin feeling hydrated thanks to the 20% water content.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation Brush

The foundation felt lovely on me and did not dry my dehydrated skin out at all throughout the day . As i prefer a more fuller coverage i did need to use the smaller side of the brush across my nose and cheek area as i have age spots there, and also under my eyes and build it up a little more. I then buffed it out with the fluffier end. I did find myself using four -5 drops because of the coverage i needed. I think that at under £35 for a foundation and brush, this is great quality and should last me a couple of months if i use it everyday.
The foundation is available in shades, Fair, Light, Light-Medium, Medium, Tan and Deep.

Tarte Ltd Edition Rainforest of the Sea Eye Shadow Palette

Limited Edition Rainforest of the Sea Eye-shadow Palette with Brush – Ok, If like me you have been drooling over all those gorgeous Instagram Photos of this palette from across the pond, you will not be disappointed!! This limited Edition palette is so beautiful and i am convinced it will sell out sharp so click the highlighted link above to get yours now. This palette contains 8 ultra-pigmented shades that are so wearable for daytime and evening  and suitable for anyone of any age. These colours are so flattering for every skin tone because of the range of shades and matte and shimmer finishes. There is so much to talk about – wow. These shades can be used as liners, lid shades, crease shades and highlighters and are easy to blend with the beautiful gold double ended brush that is included.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Ltd Edition Eye Shadow Palette

Infused with the same Rainforest of the sea complex as the foundation ( algae and marine flowers) these shades reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines on your lid. If you are someone that has “baggy lids” or hooded lids, you can easily create your own crease and contour your eye with these shades.I would suggest the Matte shades more for hooding eyes, well, in my experience that is what works best for me.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eye Shadow Swatches

The round palette can be easily held in one hand and what i love about this one is that it doesn’t have one of those plastic films with the shades names on!! I don’t know if you are anything like me but i always lose those. This has the name of each shade embossed on the inlay next to it, making it very easy to remember what you are wearing. The lid of this palette inside is all mirror which is great as you can see your whole face in it which is always handy. These shades are really easy to apply and feel almost velvety soft.

Tarte Lights,Camer, Lashes & Opening Act

Limited Edition Line & Lash Wardrobe – This collection contains 3 absolute must haves from Tarte!
Included in this kit is the Opening Act lash Primer which was completely new to me. I used lash primers years ago, but always found that the white would show through, or the primer was so thick that my mascara would just clump so i basically gave up using them. I couldn’t really see what all the fuss was about.

Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer

This primer conditions and defines your lashes before you add your favourite mascara. It is ophthalmology tested and according to Tarte adds adds 952% increase in lash volume…..yep i did just say 952% wowzers!! You can use this under any mascara, so if you have a mascara you love that lengthens, but you  find it doesn’t add the volume you are looking for then give this Opening Act lash primer a go. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It really is quick to use, just apply one coat before your applying your favourite mascara and notice the difference.

Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer

There is also a travel size of the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara included in the box. Not sure i would use it day time as i’m always rushing and usually find one coat of mascara is enough to get me out of the house, but something i would definitely use of an evening and for nights out for the dramatic effect.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

I know there is a Tarte army that adore the Lights Camera lashes 4-in-1 mascara as i always receive great feedback when i write about it on my Blog. This great velvety coloured Amazonian clay mascara, is the blackest of blacks and thickens and lengthens eyelashes amazingly! This Iconic mascara comes In its own faux leather jacket which adds a cute, fun, element to the brand. Claiming to instantly increase lash volume by 330% all I know is that when I apply it, my lashes I get that false lash look which i love.

Infused with a range of plant botanical’s and waxes, this mascara is amazing at lengthening, adding volume and curling the lashes. The rice bran inside this mascara plumps up and coats your lashes without making them look thick or feel heavy. You will see how long it makes my lashes look in the photo above. It is black, black, black!! Which I love in a mascara and usually takes the place of my falsies on a night out – thrilled with the results! Easy to apply, i start right at the base of my lash and give a little wiggle with my brush as i pull it through the lashes, its doesn’t clumps and gives a lovely even coat. this will last AGES on your eyes. This mascara does not budge until i take it off with cleanser. Most definitely worth the money.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lip Trio

Rainforest of the Sea Lip Trio – This collection of lip products is all infused with the Rainforest of the Sea complex as mentioned above. The lip colours are packed with anti-oxidant rich ingredients that protect your lips from environmental damage and the weather elements and also really help to smooth out the lips, giving them a move youthful appearance. Every week i gently buff my lips with a soft, clean toothbrush as this gently takes away dry flaky skin and leaves a beautiful smooth surface.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lip Primer

The first item in this collection is the Lip primer, which i couldn’t actually find on the Tarte website so this may be a UK exclusive. You really only need a small amount of this product, as the first time i used it i squeezed too much out. This feels exactly like a primer i would use on my skin before make up. It doesn’t have a taste and only has a slight, soft, powdery scent. The aim of the primer is to prepare your lips for lip colour and give you a more fuller shaped lip. I need to play with this product more as i couldn’t really see any difference in my lips. It certainly wasn’t difficult to use as i just applied it before lipstick, let it dry then applied my colour over it. I think it is an “ok” product as it came in this trio, but not too sure i would purchase this as a separate item. Please do let me know though, if you achieve different results with yours.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipstick in Beach Bum

The two lip-colours included in the trio however, are gorgeous. I think Tarte do some amazing lip products, there lipsurgence collections are beautiful and these are no exception. The Lipsticks included in this Rainforest of the Sea trio are Beach Bum (Brown nude-) and Happy (Rose)  These feel gorgeously hydrating on the lips and are velvety soft. They are a satin Matte Texture which i think looks beautiful on any age lip, but it is very matte so if you do not like Matte lipsticks then these may not be for you. You can always add a gloss on top if you want to to loosen it up a bit and change the texture and colour. I also think these are very versatile, both can be used together to create a lovely Ombre effect too.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipstick in Happy

The Red really is a red, so if that is what you need then go for this trio. They pass the coffee cup test, wine glass test ( all in the name of research of course) and lasted me a good 5 hours before i had to reapply a little to the centre of my lips Great quality lipsticks.

Yet another lovely collection of goodies from Tarte, containing wonderful ingredients. If you love a mixture of both Matte and Shimmer shades then you could really benefit from the Rainforest of the Sea palette. My only wish is that they added a beautiful shimmery pop of a Turquoise shade in the palette! Make sure your skin is always well hydrated and primed before adding foundation, this will ensure you get a smooth base that does not cake anywhere. Most of all Make up is about Fun so Enjoy!!

Many thanks for responding, I was genuinely just curious! I love the French pharmacy brands for skincare, particularly La Roche posay, Vichy and Nuxe. I would however love to try some Tarte or It cosmetics make up, both these brands look really nice.
