Tried and Tested : Hydranet launches within the skinSense range

When a range launches with as great a fanfare as skinSense did last year, it is always interesting to see where they are going next. Enter the Hydranet range from skinSense which delivers a gradual, slow release, of active ingredients, ensuring long-lasting skin hydration and protection from external aggressors.

Skinsense Hydranet Collection

"The Hydranet Collection couples Lamellar technology with revolutionary Hydraprotect Complex to ensure skin looks and feels youthful and hydrated all day long."

The revolutionary HydraProtect Complex is formed of a combination of four active ingredients:

  • Comprised of Birchbark extract and Barbary fig seed oil, Hydro-Gain™ regenerates the skin lipid barrier and regulates moisture balance.
  • Fucogel® provides both short-term moisturisation, to protect from dehydration, and long-term hydration with a peak after 3 hours.
  • An innovative cage of Hyaluronic Acid, Hyalu-Cage® encases every active ingredient to ensure that the moisturising benefits are gradually released into the skin.
  • Pollushield™ creates a barrier between the skin and external aggressors and oxidative stress, which mimics the skin’s natural protection

Launching in the UK with a  try-me/travel kit, this is a great way to get fantastic skincare at an affordable price, that allows you to try a few key pieces from the range. Included in the four piece protect and hydrate kit are the following products:

Hydranet Intense Concentrate 25ml -

Hydranet Intense Concentrate 25ml

This is the perfect product to apply after cleansing and before your moisturiser, as your serum. A concentrate is stronger than a serum and is jam packed full of ingredients that really get to work on the skin, supporting the skins barrier and getting deep down inside. This rich in hydration, yet light in application cream, helps maximise skins hydration levels whilst protecting it against any external aggressors from travelling, sun, blue light etc.

hydranet intense concentrate

The lightly scented, almost ozone fresh concentrate feels silky on the skin and immediately leaves it feeling super soft and smooth. It adds an extra layer of hydration that works perfectly under moisturiser and i adore it. I think this is my product pick from this current collection.

Hydranet Hydrating Day Cream 25ml -

Hydranet Hydrating Day Cream 25ml

This is beautiful and is absolutely coming on my trip to Cornwall with me. Incredibly hydrating whilst feeling fresh on the skin, this day cream is like no other i have tried before. Believe you me i have tried hundreds, yet this feels different. It is like that perfect hybrid between moisturiser and primer as it not only hydrates and plumps the skin straight away, but it almost blurs out imperfections, relaxes the skin and just gives it that all round softer look. I am blown away by how well my skin has taken to using this product.

Hydranet Energising Face Mask 25ml -

Hydranet Face Mask

We all know i adore a face mask, so getting to try a new one is always a pleasure and never a chore. Considering how much i adore the skinSense leave on face mask HERE i was excitied to give this a go. I have quite a sensitive nose and unfortunately for me i could immediately pick up the scent of alcohol. This did soon dissipate to leave a fresh scent that is stronger than the others, but just bare that in mind. This gel mask is very cooling upon application, which is great as immediately my skin relaxes into it. It is not sticky at all and only a thin layer across the face and décolleté is needed for it to get to work. Said to moisturise, hydrate, soothe and nourish the skin after just ten minutes whilst leaving it with a beautiful glow, i found that this non setting gel mask did hydrate my skin but did not leave it glowing anymore than it already was. However, that said, i do tend to use lots of products on my skin to maintain a healthy glow all the time anyway. As this mask does not set it is comfortable to wear and easy to leave on whilst you potter around doing something else. I still think the skinSense leave on mask is my favourite between the two.

Hydranet Hydrating Night Cream -

Hydranet Night Cream

The more i use these products the more obsessed with the scent i become. It is just so fresh and uplifting and almost sea-salt and beach like. I love it. Again another light-to-use cream that sinks quickly into the skin without leaving any greasy residue behind. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins it repairs the skin overnight and delivers constant hydration. The unique Lamellar technology delivers all these products in a way which leaves the skin deeply nourished, hydrated and smooth.

As a huge fan of the original "Pink" skinSense range HERE, using some of the products on a weekly rotation basis, i was very excited to try this new "Blue" Hydranet range. I have found this range works beautifully on my skin as it adds that deeper level of hydration and protection against outside aggressors. As someone sun sensitive that also travels on the tube a lot for work, this collection is perfect for me. I have found this range to be deeply hydrating and love how smooth and fresh my skin looks, plus i adore the fresh scent which makes it a pleasure to use.

The Hydranet Discovery Collection is Launching on QVCUK HERE on May 6th 2018 for £21.84

  1. OOh , this sounds interesting. I have the 'pink'range too and use it alongside other faves. It does sound as if the scent of this range might suit me more as that is my only slight thing I would change in the original range. Try me sets are ideal too. xxx Celia/Lucy xxx

    1. I can’t quite put my finger on this scent but something about it reminds me of the sea lavender collection from Elemis, with that fresh, sea salt type of scent. It’s beautiful x

  4. Hi, what a lovely blog! So would you say this 'sub range' is more for dehydrated skin or will it help everyone please? I'm obsessed with the originals so can't wait to try these too. Can you leave the mask on overnight like the original please? x

    1. So, as this adds hydration, I would say it’s suitable for anyone as who doesn’t need extra hydration, especially going from super cold to super hot weather and this feels like water on the skin. As for the mask, it’s gel like so I wouldn’t leave it on over night in case it gets on my pillows. I prefer the original over night mask x
