The London in Bloom Collection contains four items that are easy to use, thanks to the great look sheet included, and mix and match with other items in your make up collection. I must admit when I heard it was called London in Bloom, I had visions of soft, pastel colours of summer flowers. When I saw the gorgeous eye shadow quad, I was pleasantly surprised and completely understood. Lets go through the collection….
|Laura Geller Balance & Brighten in shade Fair|
I have written about this iconic foundation many times and you can read more about it HERE. If you are new to the blog, Balance and Brighten is a cream foundation baked in Italy and left in the sunshine to dry on terracotta tiles. It is incredibly easy to apply with the included retractable brush and gives a lovely coverage. Available in shades Porcelain, Fair, Medium, Tan, Deep
First Bloom Eye shadow Quad –
|Laura Geller First Bloom Eye Shadow Quad|
Yes!! This is incredible, absolutely gorgeous. This four shade palette is beautiful to look at and perfect for travelling with. Containing four shimmer shades, you can create no end of day to evening looks. I couldn’t wait to dive straight in and create a soft smokey look.
When you look closey at the colours you will notice the beautiful floral embossing on each shade which makes it so pretty. Then when you read the names of the shades you will understand the London Connection.

Primerose – Is a beautifuly soft pale nude/pink
English Toast – Is gorgeous! A perfect brown which replicates toast that is well done but not burnt.
Garden Sage – This is my favourite shade, it is gorgeous! A perfect sage green that suits absolutely all eye colours. This shade is incredibly versatile and can be worn alone or as a eyeliner.
Chelsea Dusk – My next favourite shade is a deep, dark, sexy navy blue which creates an incredible smoky eye and eyeliner.

These wear so well and blend beautifully. They have the slightest shimmer which is not a sparkle and they work well as crease colours, inner eye colours and Primrose is a beautiful shade to pop under the brow bone. These colours can be used lightly for a wash of colour or packed on to create a real pop of colour. They can also be used wet. The only shade I had a touch of fall down with was the navy, everything else none at all. My shadows lasted all day until I took them off. The palette looks very pretty in design, comes with a double ended shadow brush and has a great sized mirror in the lid. Really, really beautiful. If these colours are not for you check out the Passport to Pretty palette HERE.
Lip Locking Liquid colour in Fifty Kisses –

This is definitely a “get noticed” shade, a beautiful, satin, deep raspberry shade with pure pigment that really locks onto the lips. The doe foot applicator gives perfect precision application each time and the liquid lip has an almost matt but not dull or dry quality. Incredibly comfortable on the lips with the added bonus of making the lips look bigger. Budge proof! Perfect for a night out!

Retractable Brush – The collection comes with a retractable brush for applying the foundation, this brush can be made smaller to really pack product onto areas that need more coverage, or opened up fully for a fluffier more even coverage.
Look Page – Included in this gorgeous collection which comes in a very pretty gift box, is a look card which details two easy to create looks using the products included. Great for beginners or someone looking to try something different.
My thoughts on this collection – A perfectly compact collection featuring just 3 make up products and a brush, that spoke to me as soon as I opened it. The addition of the Sage Green and the Chelsea Blue have made this a very exciting palette for me. This would be my evening look palette and would make a great gift for those more adventurous with eye shadow shades. That said, you can dust these lightly to create a more daytime look. Great products as usual from Laura Geller at a fantastic price.
