Percy & Reed Big, Bold & Beautiful Collection Qvcuk Tsv

Percy (Paul Percival) & Reed (Adam Reed) have spent decades tending to the hair of many glamorous and famous heads, and whilst  they adore what they do they also realised how important it was for us not-so-famous heads of hair to be able to create just as wonderful styles at home. Hence the creation of the Percy & Reed range which is not only used in their London salons, but easily available to us. Giving us everything we need to cleanse, treat and style the hair, whilst smelling beautiful and containing great for the hair ingredients, these products, all wrapped up in  packaging with gorgeous artwork, deserve to be used and displayed. This really is a range that everyone needs on their bathroom shelf.

Beautifully Bouncy Volumising Shampoo 250ml –

Beautifully Bouncy Volumising Shampoo Percy & Reed

This product does exactly what it says on the bottle. If you are looking to add some oomph and bounce to your hair then give this a try! Containing Blackcurrant Extract, Pro vitamin B5 and a plethora of other incredible ingredients, not only does this shampoo smell fresh, fruity and uplifting, but it delivers in the bouncy stakes! NowI have hair, lots of hair, its incredibly thick, natural blonde and was hip length until a few days ago when I had 4 inches chopped off, gulp! Although my hair is thick and full, unless I use the correct products or blow dry it properly, it can look lank and just look flat as a pancake. Whether you have thin lifeless hair or thick hair, this product deeply cleanses the hair and scalp with the first wash then on the second shampoo application ( they recommend two washes) the nourishing ingredients work at laying the foundation for the bounce hahah. Apply to wet hair, work into a rich lather and give the scalp a lovely massage at the same time to stimulate growth and blood flow.
The non spill twist cap is genius and the packing with the beautiful artwork on the front looks modern and pretty. The product creates a beautiful, light, fragranced lather and leaves my hair clean, shiny and full of life.

Beautifully Bouncy Volumising Conditioner 250ml

Beautifully Bouncy Volumising Conditioner Percy & Reed

This product is incredible. My hair is so long and can get so tangled at night that unless I plait it before bed, my poor husband gets strangled…..I’ll leave you to fill in the gaps :-). So a great conditioner that not only nourishes my dehydrated hair but also detangles it is a must have. I also use this on my little boys hair, his hair is shoulder length so we take great care of that too. As with the shampoo it comes in the fab non spill twist top, but this time with a black cap so you can easily differentiate between the two whilst in the shower. This is fantastic for thin hair as it really builds up the volume as you can actually massage this one right into the roots and down the length of the hair. It smells incredible thanks to the inclusion of the blackcurrant extracts and is quick and easy to use. I massage this through my hair after shampooing, leave on for about 2-3 minutes as my hair is particularly dehydrated, but you can do 1-2 minutes then rinse with cool water. Using cold water to rinse will close the cuticle and add extra shine. Gorgeous!

Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm 150ml

Perfectly Perfecting WonderBalm Percy & Reed

Last year I wrote a detailed post all about Wonder Balm and I know so many of you thoroughly enjoyed it. This leave in balm adds moisture, shine, smoothness, definition and softness to the hair! Basically it is a little miracle worker. I use this to tame my sons hair, especially for the fly aways, but on me I apply it to towel dried hair after washing and comb it through. Its great when I have had my hair cut and fresh new layers put in as it really seems to define the look and cut of my hair and show it off and it also adds shine which, on naturally blonde hair, is so hard to achieve. A little really goes a long way on this product, and for the past year maybe, it has been a staple in my hair routine.

Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse 200ml

Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse Percy & Reed

Now, I don’t think I have used mousse since I was about 15, had a perm and loved that crunchy, crispy mousse look and feel. Believe me, that is why I have stayed away from mousse ever since, unless of course its a chocolate one. I mean, what was I thinking. So I was extremely intrigued to try this out. This has such a creamy texture and does not feel sticky on the fingers at all which is a great sign. For me, I would use this when I want extra big, full bouncy hair, maybe for a night out. I shake the bottle then apply a golf ball size of product into my hands and massage through my hair from root to tip. It has a very green, fresh scent and combs through the hair easily. I then continue my blow dry. Not gonna lie this was extraordinarily good at creating a huge mane of hair that I was then able to brush into a style. Perfect if you have limp hair and want to layer your products to add that XXL volume or create amazing up do’s.

Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray 250ml

Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray Percy & Reed

Hairspray, something we all have in our bathroom cupboards, but, admit it…. how many of you buy whatever is on the latest 3-for-2 deal and don’t give it a second thought? I used too, but about 10 years ago decided to invest more into a great hairspray rather than a bog standard one, Why? Well what is the point in going to all that effort to create a beautiful hairstyle to then weigh it down with a gallon of heavy, sticky hairspray that not only darkens your hair upon application, but makes it look crispy and Lego heady (you know what I mean). This is completely weightless and has such a fine mist that it is completely invisible. So versatile it can be used on hair just before applying heat products, so I like to add a fine mist over my hair before using my fat tongs, not only does this offer some protection but also helps set my style in place. It can be sprayed onto your hairbrush or comb and brushed through the hair to create that moveable look, or finally used as the finishing tool to your hairstyle. However you use it, I think you will agree with me that this offers exceptional hold whilst still allowing you to run your fingers through your hair.

My overall thoughts on this collection – I think its pretty obvious that I love this brand, but then I have been using their styling products (although not there shampoo, that was a first for me) for many years. I love how innovative they are in their technology and ingredients for hair products. I love how cool they are, well lets face it, they really are, I think the designs on their bottles are so beautiful and really stand out from the crowd, but most importantly I love how their products perform and feel on my hair. It is always an experience when using their products and each and every time my hair looks incredible. If you are looking for an easy, yet professional approach to hairstyling then try this collection, the value is outstanding. If you struggle to add volume, bounce and swish to you hair then this is perfect for you. If you have fine and limp hair then this will add volume and bounce. If you have greasy/oily hair you can still use this collection, just adjust the amount of product to suit you. This whole 5 Piece Big, Bold and Beautiful collection is available as a QVC Todays Special Value (TSV) at an £29.96 for one day only or whilst stocks last on Tuesday 14th February (it may show sold out until the day so keep checking). Bring out your inner Marilyn!

Hi Sharon, I have fine, limp hair that is very dry and tends to frzz but when I tried this shampoo/conditioner 2 years ago I had to return as it made my hair really difficult to blow dry as it made it very static and fly away. May try again x

Hiya, that's a shame but I think the inclusion of the wonderbalm after you wash your hair may really help? x

Hi Sharon, I bought a set about 3 weeks ago which contained the shampoo, conditioner, a hair spray and an oil. My hair had become very flat in the crown and my hairdresser had suggested cutting it shorter which I did. As it started to grow it was still flat hence me trying this set. All I can say is WOW, it now has so much body and lift and even a shine so I will be buying this collection. Do you know the unopened shelf life as I am tempted to buy more than one? xx

Hi Sharon, I have to be careful with my scalp as I have Lupus (which affects my skin/scalp) so am quite limited but definately have a few favourites. I love anything moroccanoil especially hair spray and root boost. Also love aveda s thickening tonic. Also percy and reed wonder balm & mousse ☺ xx
