With Spring firmly in our sights, many brands are spoiling us with their glowing make up collections. March is always a fantastic month for new product launches and so far it hasn’t disappointed. If you are a Fan of the popular American brand Doll 10, then you will be very happy with their latest UK offering.
Doll 10 Glow All Out 6 Piece Collection Tsv
Including 6 lovely, items their Glow All Out Collection is perfect for anyone looking to update their make up collection and create a beautiful, natural, healthy, glowy look without being highlighted to the hills. Personally I love it when my Highlight is on Fleek, but for fear of scaring the children on the school run or blinding someone down the frozen aisle of Sainsbury’s, there are times when only a natural glow will do. This collection offers a full face of make up that contains great for the skin ingredient’s, is completely cruelty free and applies effortlessly.
Doll 10 HydraGel Foundation in Light
As someone that has been using Doll 10 Products for almost 5 years, ever since they were released in the UK, you can trust me when I say they work incredible on my dehydrated skin, and look naturally pretty. The Hydragel Foundation is a water based foundation containing the Hydragel formula which was released in the UK at the beginning of the 2016. This is an incredibly lightweight, yet full coverage foundation. I have been using this product for years and adore the way it feels and looks on my skin. So light and smooth whilst covering my pigmentation, redness and all round uneven skin tone. It really gives a flawless base, full coverage and wonderful brightness to my skin. A little really does go a long way. Containing high density pure pigments which are suspended in the gel formula, it gives a radiant finish. You will be surprised at how little of this product you actually need to achieve a flawless finish. I buff mine on using the Doll 10 Blendsmart brush and it really gives an airbrushed look. Play around with it at first because I think you will be surprised at how little you need and you can then build in the areas that need more coverage if you feel you need it, or use your concealer. Don’t forget to also try different foundation brushes, a different level of coverage can be achieved depending on the brush. This is a lightweight, full coverage foundation, suitable for all skin types. Available currently in Fair, Light, Medium and Tan with Deep on the horizon imminently.
When I asked Doris Dalton for Shade tips here is what she said –
“Shade choices for the foundations are pretty easy.. The Fair shade is for ultra fair gals.. You always burn in the sun.. Think Nicole Kidman or Snow White .. It has a bit of a Pink undertone to it.. Light is the shade that I wear.. It’s a bit warmer and not as Pink. A blend between Pink and Yellow. It’s for girls that burn in the sun but then turn to tan..Medium is warmer then the Light definitely the most popular shade and… has yellow under tones..Tan is the richest colour for Olive skin tone complexions. The foundation and Concealer match each other.. Don’t forget that in the Summer your foundation tends to be a bit warmer then in the Autumn or Winter months. Even though you use SPF, you still get sun. I typically don’t change my foundation colour. If I notice that it appears a bit light because my skin has warmed in the summer, I usually sweep a small bit of bronzer on my face.. Hope that helps..”
Doll 10 HydraGel Concealer Shade Light
The perfect accompaniment to the Hydragel Foundation, this water based concealer is absolutely amazing! The Gel technology makes this another lightweight concealer, that dries instantly and gives a full coverage. Perfect for concealing dark circles under the eyes as it does not dry cakey or crack. I wear this under my eyes all the time and never have a problem with it, however in warmer weather i always set my under eye concealer with just a touch of translucent powder. I find it also works really well as an eye shadow primer because it evens out the colour of the eyelids and gives a beautiful neutral base to apply eye shadow. This concealer has so much coverage that is can even cover tattoos! If you are suffering from redness or dark circles under the eyes or on the cheeks, like I do, then I am sure you will find the coverage amazing.
Doll 10 HydraGel Concealer
Using a small, fluffy, concealer brush dot the concealer where you need it, whether that be under the eye, around the nose, on any redness or blemishes and then gently buff it into the skin. Containing light diffusing technology, it really brightens up the under eye area, yet does not draw attention to any blemishes you may have used it on. I also love Doll 10’s Conceal it concealer which is more of a cream base, but am using this Hydragel formula more. Inside the tube the gel is liquid, so only squeeze a tiny amount onto the back of your hand and dip your brush in. I know that you will not believe me, and probably squeeze out a big dollop hahaha, but I promise, you need the tiniest amount. The gel then dries to a smooth, almost powder like texture that you really cannot feel on the skin. It currently comes in Light, Fair, Medium and Tan shades, I actually have it in light and medium because I like a lighter look under my eyes however, if I use the light on top of my medium foundation, it blends and covers so beautifully with my foundation that you do not notice a shade difference.
EffortLash Mascara –
Doll 10 EffortLash Mascara
Launched at the beginning of 2016 this has become an incredibly popular Doll 10 product. Yes I am a huge Doll 10 fan, but don’t let that distract from the fact that I will always give an honest review. Ok, so I have soooo many mascaras as I am always trying new ones, but when I first tried this last year i’m not going to lie, I did kind of wonder where the bristles were? The wand is quite slim, with teeny tiny bristles. Well, as soon as I added one stroke of mascara I should never have second guessed! Suddenly, beautiful long lashes appeared as if I was stroking them on from the tube!!
Each tiny, little bristle, gets between each of the lashes coating even those invisible ones. It literally coats from the lash line all the way to the very tip of the lashes. It looks absolutely beautiful. Now I know why it is called Effortlash mascara, a couple of sweeps and full, beautiful, black lashes are yours – amazing.
Glow All Out Blush & Highlighter Palette –
Doll 10 Glow All Out Highligh & Blush Palette
This very pretty palette is in the same design as the Contour Palette except full of 3 highlight colours and 3 blush shades. The highlight shades range from tones of peach, gold and champagne and depending on application can have you as lit as you want to be. I love a great highlight so for me more is more! They work beautifully under the brow bone, in the inner corner of the eye, above the cheek bones any where you would like to glow. There are then 3 very pigmented blush shades which are various shades of pink, so a coral, a bright and a rose. You really only need to start by applying a small amount as they are buildable and very pigmented. I love these as shadows as I like a pink on blue green eyes and find them very versatile. They do stay on the skin all day and really brighten the face. The palette has a fantastic mirror and on the back has a diagram to show you wear to place the product if you are unsure. Definately Fair girl friendly in my opinion too. My wish, as someone with such dry skin you could light a match on me, was that they release a cream highlight and blush palette as my skin works better with cream products but that’s just my preference.
Lipstick in Pretty in Pink –
Doll 10 Lipstick in Pretty in Pink
If you know Doll 10 you will know they are famous for their lipstick and lipgloss.
Doll 10 Lipstick in Pretty in Pink
They are full of super hydrating ingrediants and make shades that flatter all skin tones. This lipstick applies like butter. It is super creamy and feels like a hydrating balm. The colour is very pretty pink and after the intial application almost dries down to a stain. Really lovely to wear on a daily basis.
Doll 10 Blush Brush & Gift Box
This whole collection also comes with a super soft, synthetic blusher brush which feels lovely on the skin and is presented in a gift box.
Wearing only the Doll 10 Tsv in shade Light
My thoughts on this collection – I keep using the word Pretty, because this collection really is. If you want Spring make up that brightens the skin and lifts the complexion, the shades are very flattering to all skin types and tones. The palette is very handy for travel as you have a nice selection of colours in there, that wear well on the skin. Just make sure you have applied moisturiser before using as it can show any dry patches. Please note, my skin is incredibly dehydrated at the moment due to medication. This collection is available only from Qvcuk in the UK and will be available on 22nd March 2017 for 24 hours or whilst stocks last. It is £39.96 and you can purchase HERE.
