Tarte Maneater Collection

Tarte  is a beautiful brand of Cosmetics loved by everyone including Beauty Bloggers, Make Up artists and make up junkies everywhere! This brand has a huge following and it is not hard to see why. Offering cruelty free cosmetics, infused with fantastic good for us ingredient’s such as super fruits, plant extracts, vitamins, minerals and essential oils, it actually looks after our skin whilst we wear it. Tarte has all good things in and bad things such as parabens and mineral oils etc left out. Add to this the fact that the Make Up last ages on the skin, and you have a winning combination. Using Amazonian Clay in many of their products to lock in beneficial skin ingredients, it nourishes and hydrates the skin, whilst giving it clarity and smoother texture. All in a make-up! Included in this incredible collection, being launched in the UK on 23rd April 2017, are the following products.

Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation –

Tarte Amazonian Clay

This was the product that made me fall in love with Tarte Cosmetics over three years ago. Made from Amazonian Clay which is a magical ingredient from nature, this foundation is able to matify those skin types that suffer from oiliness whilst also hydrating anyone with a dry skin type. The vitamin A in the foundation helps lock in moisture and protect the skin from free radicals, without looking caky or cracking. Do not let the name “Clay ” fool you. All though this is a full coverage long lasting foundation, it feels really lightweight on the skin. I have a dehydrated skin type that does have dehydration lines on it and I absolutely adore this foundation. It covers everything I need so quickly and easily whilst leaving my skin looking natural and not plastered in make up. For me it hides my pigmentation, and really evens up my skin tone, which I love. If you have blemished or acne skin this would also be amazing at covering the skin whilst not causing any additional breakouts. It really does last all day so it is superb to wear to work as it still looks fresh hours later. In the UK this foundation is available in shades Deep, Fair, Light,  Light Medium Honey, Medium Honey and Tan ( for help with shade choice click here)

Limited Edition Maneater Eyeshadow Palette –

Tarte Maneater Palette

Aside from the fab Leopard print packaging which fulfils all my Essex Girl needs, the gorgeous Cocoa scent of the shadows, the magnetic closing and the full sized mirror in the lid, this is a beautiful palette. Containing 8 Warm naturals from ivory through to dark brown, this is a very versatile selection of shades that can be used as transition colours, eye shadows, highlighters and eyeliners.

Tarte Maneater Palette

It is a great size for travelling and fits neatly into the included gift bag. The shadows, as with all Tarte shadows, are deeply pigmented. Due to the inclusion of the Amazonian Clay, they go on incredibly silky smooth without any fall down and blend easily. They really do give the eyelids a smoother, more blended appearance and have great staying power.

Maneater Self Sharpening Eyeliner in Black –

Tarte Maneater Eyeliner in Black

I’m not really one for a black eyeliner as i find they can be quite harsh on me, however i do appreciate the importance of a great cat eye flick or a tightline. Tarte eyeliners are well known for being super soft and non draggy. They apply like a felt tip with very little effort and look bold and bright and last until you wash it off. Self sharpening within the lid and with a lovely fresh point everytime, this is a great precision liner.

Maneater mascara –

Tarte Maneater Mascara

Launched in the UK towards the end of last summer, inspired by the power of magnets, Maneater mascara has a soft, flexible brush that ‘Attracts’ even the tiniest, invisible lashes and coats them in lashings of deeply pigmented, hydrating black mascara. The Special Moulded brush is so clever, it has little grooves in it which holds lots of mascara and gives the lashes a full on coat in one easy swipe. I was astounded at how long my lashes were after the first coat and to be honest I was incredibly happy with one coat! My lashes were so long! Containing Jojoba oil it hydrates and strengthens the lashes and doesn’t cause them to break off. Very comfortable to wear, easy to apply, does not clog. This and the Tarteist Lash Paint are my favourite Tarte Mascaras now!

Lip Sculptor Double Ended Lipstick & Gloss –

Tarte Lipsculpter Lipstick and Lipgloss

A very pretty double barreled lip product that gives you the best of both world with a lipstick and matching gloss in shade Kind, which is a pinky/mauve shade. The Lipstick feels very creamy and hydrating on the lips and is a very pretty nude shade that reminds me a little of Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury.

Tarte Lipsculpter Lipstick and Lipgloss

The lipgloss adds a beautiful sheen when worn over the top, and when worn alone just looks like a clear gloss on my lips. It also has a lovely vanilla scent which is not too sweet. Obviously depending on the shade of your lips you will see different results.

Limited Edition Maneater “The Buffer” Foundation Brush –

Limited Edition Tarte The Buffer Foundation Brush

Because….seriously…who doesn’t want a Leopard print foundation brush right? Right? Its bloody gorgeous haha! It has a lovely weight to it which makes it feel very high end, is obviously synthetic as all Tarte products are completely cruelty free, soft and blends foundation beautifully. If you prefer a blender or smaller brush to apply foundation, this would make a great powder brush instead.

Limited Edition Eyeshadow Brush –

Tarte Limited Edition Eyeshadow Brush

I actually have a few of these eyeshadow brushes which i bought in a collection last year, i think, and they are some of my most used blending brushes. They pack and blend eyshadow perfectly, are incredibly soft on the eyes without being scratchy and always wash up really well. I rate these brushes as some of my favourites ever.

Limited Edition Make Up Bag – To match the purple flecks of colour on the Leopard print products, this bright make up bag has the Tarte logo in gold tone hardwear, is fully lined inside and is lovely and bright so you can always find it.

My thoughts on this collection – I am a huge Tarte cosmetics fan so its no surprise that i have really enjoyed using this collection. The products are all super long lasting and especially non drying on my dehydrated skin. Its a great collection to add to your existing routine, with all products performing beautifully. I think it would also make a lovely gift. I think the only thing that may detract you is the Leopard Print design, but for me..i’m in my element.

Great blog, Sharon, thank you. I really want it, but the foundation shades are putting me off a little, as they look quite yellowish and I have pink undertones and prone to redness.I'm sure I'll buy the TSV though, can never resist Tarte! xx
