Contains some PR Products*
If there is one product that really is a one stop fix all, it is a “Multi-Purpose” balm. They come in many guises from many different brands and are called multi-purpose for a reason. From lipbalm to stray hairs, dry skin to sunburn, moisturising to healing spots, these balms can, at times, be your magic saviour to many a beauty emergency. Below are three that I use and love.
I love this product so much that after being sent one in PR and using it up, i then purchased another one for myself and also for a friend. If you have skin, then you will find a use for this deliciously nourishing Multi-Purpose balm. We all know no-one does a balm quite like Decleor and the CICA Botanic Balm is no exception. This 100% natural balm will soon become a staple in your beauty and medicinal cupboard.
If you have dry skin, you can apply this on the face or body (except the eyes and intimate areas) if you have sore skin, apply this to soothe and calm the area, a blemish that needs calming down? A little dab of this will do ya! Containing powerful essential oils Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Niaouli ( a tree from the Myrtle family) and Geranium, this balm has the power to sooth, hydrate, repair and protect the skin. I have used this on my cuticles, which get exceptionally dry, any spots on my face, (which have cleared up in a day!!) I’ve also used it on my feet, my elbows and anywhere I have dry skin. Smells beautifully of Eucalyptus but not in an overpowering way, and is an absolute joy to use. Mostly used on hormonal breakouts, this practically gets rid of my spots overnight and I never want to be without it.
More of a balm-lotion than a full on balm, Lotil Original is one that the whole family will be able to use. Perfect for all weather use from hot Summer to cold, cold Winter this has a plethora of uses. Now, first off, it does say that It can be used on both Psoriasis and Eczema prone skin, but just be aware that it does contain Alchol. For me this is brilliant on wind chapped skin or skin that is super dry from the sun. Since moving to the Coast my skin dries out a lot more thanks to the elements. Lotil cream feels really nourishing and hydrating on my parched legs and arms.
I apply it before I go for a walk as it forms a protective barrier on the skin and feels super hydrating. Whilst you do need to massage it in quite a bit, it does feel beautiful on. Gently medicated, this cream works wonders on sore, dry and cracked skin and is as cheap as chips. If you suffer from sore hands, cracked heels, windburn….sunburn (god forbid) this no fuss, no nonsense cream is an absolute skin saviour. With a 100 year legacy, keep a pot of this in your medicine cabinet and the whole family will find a use for it.
“Softens skin. (Anywhere on the body).
Powerful emollients rapidly rehydrate.
Non greasy and rapidly absorbed.
Soothes skin after shaving.
Soap replacement for sufferers of very dry skin conditions. For best results use frequently. Gently massage into your skin until the cream is completely absorbed. Always apply after washing, before going to bed and particularly during cold, dry weather”
This cream does so, so, sooooooo much and is loved by everyone that tries it, but for me, this is foot cream heaven! My skin is always ridiculously dry due to medication and my cuticles and heels really suffer with dry, hard skin. Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream is my secret weapon against hard skin. I literally massage in a generous layer of this on my heels at night, pop on some socks and in the morning I have beach ready feet. It is magic!
Blended using a “unique, proprietary process based on a formula that was created thousands of years ago in the land of the Pharaohs. The result is a luxurious cream with moisturizing and nourishing properties that are legendary among celebrities, the fashion industry, even doctors and hospitals” Using 100% Natural ingredients Olive Oil, Bees Wax, Honey, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Bee Propolis & “Divine Love” this feels super moisturising. It can literally be used anywhere on the body to hydrate the skin, great on knees and elbows, to tame the eyebrows, can be used as a lipbalm, a hand cream, a cuticle cream you name it, you can use it.
Which balms do you swear by? Have you tried any of the above? I would love to know, do leave me a comment below!
