Eyebags, dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles. Quite possibly a concern that we have all faced at some point in our lives. Right now however I am being contacted by more and more people with these issues due to the current stress this Lockdown year has brought on. Here I will be sharing My current favourite Eye Products for all concerns that will help.

First however, you do need to have an idea as to what is causing your eye issues. Fine lines and wrinkles can be softened/blurred with some eye products as they will become more hydrated and therefore give the appearance of a smoother eye wrinkle. However, no eye cream or product will permanently make the wrinkles disappear. That is where cosmetics procedures come in. The same can be said for dark circles and puffiness. If these are caused by stress, diet, lack of sleep, short term medical issues, the products I’m listing below can help when used regularly. However, again, if these are hereditary problems, a brightening eye cream and a fab concealer is your best bet.

I love an eye serum, I always have because first off, I am an absolute skincare junkie who doesn’t really need any excuse to include an additional product in her skincare regime. But more importantly, I have very sensitive puffy prone eyes and whilst you can most definitely take a hydrating face serum under the eye area, a specific eye serum is best for me as it is thinner and therefore will not overload my puffy prone eye area.

Eye products with Caffeine, Peptides, Retinol and Light reflecting particles work well at fixing the problem (all be it temporarily). Below I have listed My current favourite Eye Products for all concerns. I would love to know if you have tried any and if so which products you absolutely swear by.

Q & A Seaweed Peptide Eye Gel 15ml

Q & A Seaweed Peptide gel

I absolutely love Q & A as a brand, not only are they affordable and easy to find in Sainsburys and Holland & Barret but they are an absolute joy to use. Completely Cruelty free and Vegan so win, win. The Q & A Seaweed peptide Eye Gel is super lightweight, applies clear and aims to help sooth, cool and calm a tired, red eye whilst also giving the Collagen a little boost. Using Peptides synthesised from Seaweed Amino Acids and combining with cooling Organic Aloe Vera, this is a joy to apply on puffy under eyes. I use this as a thin eye gel mornings and evenings but love to apply it a little thicker perhaps once a week as a mask. A really lovely and affordable daily use eye gel that’s great for puffy and/or tired eyes. Available HERE

Pixi Detoxifeye Depuffing Eye Patches 30 pairs

Pixi Detoxifeye eye patches

Ok, without a shadow of a doubt these are my most recommended eye patches and I have tried a lot. I have been buying, using and recommending these patches for at least 3 years and with good reason….THEY WORK.  If you are like me and struggle with puffiness due to stress, lack of sleep or even too much salt in your diet, and love an eye patch and have the time to use them, these are the best! I have tried more expensive ones from super high end brands and always, always come back to these. Now they are slimy in the pot but well worth it! These instantly de-puffing, hydrogel, Caffeine and Hyaluronic infused patches work at immediately de-puffing the under eye area. The pot contains 30 pairs, has a spatula included for you to easily peel them out of the pot and once gently applied to the under eye area for at least 15 minutes they sit in place. Now I use these almost daily, and pop mine on whilst I do my eye make up, I then basically leave them sitting there until they have dried out, but if there is any serum left I just gently tap it in. These are so good, these are better than good, these are amazing and I have worn them live on Instagram to showcase the results so often. Pop them in the fridge for an even more breath-taking experience 🙂 *if applying make up after, make sure product is completely sunk in and eye area dry. Available HERE

Algenist Triple Algae Eye Renewal Balm

algenist eye renewal balm

Algenist is another brand that I have had a huge love affair with these past three years. Backed by Science they love the Nutrient rich properties of Marine Algae as do I, so when I heard they had released this new eye product early in January, it was a no brainer for me. The texture is sublime. Described as a balm but with a soft, silky almost whipped texture this applies so smoothly on the skin and adds a veil of hydration to any fine lines and wrinkles. It makes an incredible under eye primer before make up but you only need a small amount. Apply too much product and you may see some pilling but gently tap and smooth a small amount and you will see great results. Formulated with Red, Brown and Green Algae and Vitamin E this nutrient, Peptide rich balm cools the undereye area, blurs lines and wrinkles and firms, fortifies and hydrates. With continued daily use the eye area appears firmer and brighter. A much more luxurious product than others but one that sits happily in my make up kit and gives me joy when I use it. Ren Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream

REN Dark circle eye cream

Another super new launch product that I am excited to share with you from a beautiful brand. Ren Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream does exactly what it says it will do in as little as 7 days. A slightly  thicker consistency that the other products I have mentioned, this has been proven to brighten the under eye area in as little as 7 days. I have been testing this on one under eye only and so far I am super impressed!(results coming soon) Ren is well know for its “Clean” approach to beauty and sustainability. Using 95% Natural origin ingredients and Zero waste Elderberry Flower Extract, this product can be taken from the under eye up to the brow bone without causing irritation. If you have lots of redness on the lid or darkness caused by lack of sleep, this would be a lovely product to try. With no added fragrance this water-to-oil texture works on even my super sensitive eyes and gives lovely results. Obviously the more you use it the better the results. If darkness is your concern this is the one for you Available HERE

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme

Banana Bright Eye Creme Ole henriksen

An absolute cult favourite, this iconic eye cream is perfect for anyone that struggles with a bit of everything and wants a great base for make up. So if you are seeing tired eyes with fine lines AND dark circles this is great. I love, love, love using this under make up as it adds such a brightening effect but I also like to mix a little of my concealer into it on those days where I want minimal coverage but a nice bright under eye area. Inspired by the brightening effects of Banana powder in make up this Vitamin C loaded crème is super hydrating, doesn’t drag or pull the under eye area and can be take up to the brow bone. I love it. Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Revive Mask

If you are looking for a mask formula that you can use a few times a week to really give your eye area a boost then you will adore this. This cooling gel treatment is a wonderfully luxurious  product. It can easily be applied under or over make up, but I like to use it best of an evening when I am relaxing. Containing Flash Filler Hyaluronic Acid, wrinkle-reducing Watermelon Snow Algae and antioxidant-rich Bush Clover, this cooling yellow gel hydrates the eye contour so deeply that fine lines and wrinkles immediately look less pronounced. For me though, the greatest benefit has been on my under eye puffiness. I apply a layer under my eyes and relax, within a half an hour or so the puffiness has reduced greatly, but using this three times a week – sometimes more – I have seen a massive improvement on the day to day puffiness. I absolutely love this product and have got through 3 pots already eek! Available HERE

Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum

murad retinol youth eye serum

This product is literally in my top 5 of eye serums because of its inclusion of Retinol. This powerful  product targets those fine lines and laughter lines that we get around our eyes. Infused with a nutrient rich Marine Kelp Complex, the eyes appear lifted and much more brighter over time. In clinical trials 93% of people saw a reduction in the appearance of their fine lines and wrinkles. I have also seen an improvement in as little as  two weeks, in which my fine lines looked much softer and less pronounced and have been using this product on and off since launch.

Murad eye serum

Easy to use both morning and evening, dispense a small amount onto the ring finger and pat gently along the orbital bone. If using in the morning ALWAYS apply an SPF. The perfect non sticky lotion to apply to the eye area without worrying about any tackiness. It can be used on all skin types, is wonderfully hydrating and ” Delivers an instant dose of retinol and a dose of retinol over time to minimize irritation and prolong benefits.” It is more of a considered purchase than some of the other products mentioned but it is a powerhouse. Available HERE

Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment

elemis pro collagen advanced eye serum

This is my favourite eye serum, the one I have been using the longest and the one that I use most often. I think for me with a Mature eye that also has a dehydrated skin, it is the lightness and consistency of this serum that I adore most. It’s cooling, it’s soothing and it’s great at hydrating my fine lines. I don’t know if you are anything like me, but this past year, as I am getting older, I have noticed that the more I use eye creams, the puffier my eyes are when I wake up. This is why I always, always turn to Pro-Collagen Advance Eye Treatment SERUM. During these past few stressful months our eye area may have become overworked. We are squinting more due to the sunlight, screen time, when we were home-schooling and may have struggled with puffy eyes due to hay fever or allergies – (or two much wine) . Whatever the reason or season the Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment is a key product to incorporate into your skincare regime. It works exceptionally well at hydrating the skin around the eye area whilst getting to work by smoothing and relaxing those fine lines and wrinkles. For me, the gel texture is a must have as it instantly cools, refreshes and brightens the eye area and sinks in super quickly with a few gentle taps of the ring finger. Infused with Padina Pavonica, Blue Flower Linseed and a sophisticated Amino Acid Complex, it tones and firms the eye area whilst locking in vital hydration. Wonderful if kept in the fridge to really cool the eyes, perfect used all year round. Can be used both morning and evening without leaving any sticky residue behind. Available HERE

Phew, there is my concise list of My current favourite Eye Products for all concerns, I really hope this helps you find the perfect eye product for your needs. Always remember less is more when it comes to an eye product, tap don’t rub product into the thin eye area and always patch test any new product before putting them around your eyes. These are all products that I use, have used and enjoy for  my eye concerns but if you have an eye product that you absolutely adore, please let me know and I will give it a go.

A fantastic read. I love the Elemis products mentioned too and use the Pixie patches, but will now try the fridge trick too. Q: do you layer your eye products, or just use them alone ……? Thank youuuuuuu xxxLucyxxx
