Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydro Maniac Tinted Glow Hydrator

As a make up addict  I am always on the look out for new foundations and the latest formulas. Being a huge fan of Urban Decay I was super excited when I found out about their new launch Stay Naked Hydro Maniac Tinted Glow Hydrator.

I was kindly sent one in PR, but sadly choose a shade just a little to yellow for me, however, for the purposes of this review I have still been wearing it, using it in my Reels (here),  make up lives on Instagram and in my make up masterclasses. Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydro Maniac Tinted Glow Hydrator is a Vegan formula that hydrates the skin and adds a glow.

Containing Kombucha Filtrate and Marula Oil not only does it feel incredibly hydrating but it does give the skin a beautiful sheen and a lift. Apparently this also gives a 24 hour long wear product…..

Coverage wise this applies like a tinted moisturiser but can be built up for a little more coverage. Now, here is the thing, everyone is raving about this product because of its lightweight texture and super sheer formula, which is beautiful but at the moment, with my skin having not seen any sun in a while due to Lockdown and the odd lockdown blemish, personally I need more coverage, and you all know I am a dewy-never-sets-her-face-with-powder kinda gal.

Urban Decay recommend applying this with the fingers and I do agree you get a much better finish when doing that. Originally I applied it with my buffing brush and it kind of sat on my skin showing up my texture. When gently massaged in with warm fingers it gives a more smoother, skin like finish and would be beautiful on a pore less, blemish free possibly more youthful skin? I know so many people are raving about this right now and I am a huge Urban Decay fan but I am currently on the fence about it.

Available in 12 shades which are flexible enough for all skin tones, this is an affordable product that is well suited to anyone that loves that dewy, fresh barely there look. I think me having the wrong shade – I have 50 medium – really didn’t help as it does get ever so slightly darker over time and I think I would be more around shade 41.

Packaging wise it is in a cute squeezy tube and you get 35ml which is more than your usual 30ml for a foundation. If you are an oily skin type this may not be for you as it is super hydrating, also if you have blemishes or pigmentation you wish to cover this will still let that peek through. I think I will have to revisit this formula again in the Summer when I naturally go for a sheer base and then make a more informed decision then but I can say, it is super comfortable and hydrating on the skin and does give a lovely luminosity. I guess I am more of a full coverage girl than I thought I was.
