Last week I was kindly invited to Claridges to attend a Matcha Tea ceremony with the Japanese beauty brand Suqqu. This event was a delightful way of, not only teaching us about this exquisite Japanese art form but also a great way to showcase the Autumn 2025 launches from the brand as well as revisit some much loved favourites.
Founded in 2003, Suqqu ( WHICH IS JAPANES FOR POSTURE WITH ATTITUDE) is a multi award winning beauty brand loved by celebrities and make up artists alike. Thanks to its skincare infused formulas, deep rooted Japanese beauty traditions and encouraging its wearers to nurture and support long term skin health from the inside out, this brand has achieved a cult following.
This is a highly luxurious brand which shows in the packaging design, textures and at times, price point.
In this post I am going to focus on the make up and then follow up in a separate post with some Suqqu skin care.
The Suqqu Autumn 2025 collection draws its inspiration from Kasane no Irome – the traditional Japanese art of colour layering. Using colours inspired by the seasons there really is something for everyone with that added touch of luxury.
With a beautiful array of quads to choose from you will easily fall in love with these buttery soft shadows in beautiful, luxurious packaging. With textures from rich mattes to creamy shimmers these are silky smooth, blend easily and effortlessly and work just as well in a make up artists kit as they do in everyone’s day to day make up bag. Containing Snow Powder, Rosehip Oil, Hyaluronic Acid and Jojoba Oil as well as Shea Butter, these formulas are lightweight and airy whilst offering deep, long lasting pigments that blend and layer easily.
I have the Signature 02 palette which is a very popular quad of colours reminiscent of late Summer and Early Autumn orange and brown tones. I also have the brighter Signature 13 Palette which contains gorgeous peach and pink tones. Both of these palettes hold space in my make up bag, wear well and last all day.
Featuring five essential elements for achieving beautiful high-dimensional lashes: Length, Curl, Long-lasting finish, Separation, Deep black sheen. Achieves naturally long lashes with each stroke – without fibre additives. This Multi-Proof Formula, resistant to sweat, water, and sebum, offers reliable waterproof protection.
At this stage in my life and also this far into my beauty career I can honestly say that it takes a lot to impress me with a foundation. My skin has changed and aged and where once I loved a full coverage, I now look for a more natural, almost skin like finish that adds a glow and covers imperfections. Now, I know that is personal to everyone, but if you are my age you might be leaning more towards those finishes.
This foundation gives the best of both worlds, it is beautiful, it is like air on the skin, you just cannot feel it. Cool, lightweight and hydrating upon application I can see why it is so loved in the film industry. This is a blend of fine powders to add luminosity and fine ground clay minerals. You can easily build it for more coverage or sheer it out, either way it is a delight. Available in 24 shades.
Firstly I just want to mention the packaging again, because Suqqu packaging is so sophisticated in its design with the matte black lid and the gold trim it just looks luxurious. The palettes also house a generous sized mirror. With blush trending and going viral on social for the past couple of years, this for me is where Suqqu corner the market. They blush design with its smooth graduation from a darker shade to a lighter shade, is not a new concept and many brands have created something similar however it is the formula which is so wonderful. Enriched with micro pearls it add a gorgeous pearlescence to the skin that lifts the complexion without being blinding and a gorgeous wash of colour that does not look dry, cling to pores or sit in fine lines. In a beautiful selection of over 12 colours, these can easily be used on the eyes too.
MOISTURE GLAZE LIPSTICK HOLDER & REFILL
Suqqu are great with their sustainability on the lipstick front and offer their lipstick holder for £6 and then refill for £30. Deeply moisturising and comfortable on the lips a fusion of moisturising squalane and powder particles is thrown into the mix, smoothing the appearance of fine lines and naturally blending your lips. They offer a balm like texture and almost translucent colourway that wears well on the lips. I have the shade Kogareaka.
VELVET FIT LIPSTICK CASE & REFILLABLE LIPSTICK
Another beautifully designed lipstick holder, this is for the slimmer, stylo style lipsticks. The holder is just £8 then you add your refillable lipsticks. This formula is high colour impact with longevity. They have a velvety finish with a light sheen, are super comfortable and come is a gorgeous selection of colours. I have shade Shousai.
Suqqu offer many more products in their repertoire, these are just the ones that I have tried so far. They are a really beautiful, luxurious brand and if you don’t mind spending your money on high end make up then I suggest dipping your toes into this brand. I hope you have enjoyed reading about Japanese beauty brand Suqqu Autumn 2025 beauty launches.
