The new launches from Charlotte Tilbury just keep coming and this time its with the Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder. Hot off the heels of her iconic award winning and much loved pressed powder, these new loose formulas are available in 7 hyper-stretch shades, including Translucent, for an invisible finish as well as a pretty and Brightening Pink.
Three shades were kindly sent to me at least a month before launch and were under embargo. So i have been secretly trying these out for a while.
As someone with a dehydrated mature skin, i am only really loyal to one loose powder (which i use only on occasion) alongside Charlottes Airbrush Flawless Pressed Powder.
The first powder i wanted to try was the pink powder and look, lets be honest, we know loose pink powders have been around for a while, so there is nothing new here, however, Charlotte promised more brightening, no drying and a super finely milled formula.
The lightness of this powder is exceptional! As always with Charlotte Tilbury products, packaging goals all the way and the heart shaped powder puff is a very cute touch. The packaging is pretty with the winged style logo, but most importantly there is a mesh cover over the losses powder so it doesn’t spill everywhere – brilliant!
Having applied this to my skin over a full face of make on those exceptionally hot days we were having i can say the powder felt light and airy and not cakey at all! I also received many compliments which i wasn’t expecting.
The powder reduced the shine that too much primer and SPF had given , reduced the appearance of the pores on my nose and blurred the look of fine lines on my cheeks and for-head. It didn’t sit in my wrinkles and lasted all day with no further touch ups needed.
As someone that historically has not really liked loose powders, i enjoyed the brightening look this gave and the smooth soft focus blurred looked my skin had.
If you are more combination to oily skin and need a powder that blurs whilst adding a brightness to your skin, the pink powder is the one for you. However if you want all the blurring and matte-not-flat without additional brightening definitely choose the translucent options.
