Wow, how can another month have past us by already? It’s crazy, but I hope you are having a wonderful year so far. In this months favourites there are quite a few products, as I missed last month (sorry) so I am carrying a few over.
April Beauty and Skincare Favourites
These are products that I have been using and wearing lots this past month and want to share with you.
Gosh Liquid Matte Lips – If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen me showing these liquid lips off for so long now, I absolutely adore every, single, shade. I do love a liquid lip and these do not disappoint. Not only because they are £8.99 each….yep….£8.99! But also because they are super pigmented and last all day long. There are currently 8 shades ranging from Nudes through to browns and reds. Infused with dandelion which is rich in vitamins and minerals, these matte lips are not at all drying. I love the slim doe foot applicator as well as it allows for a really precision application.

When I first apply these on me, they do feel sticky, i’m not going to lie, but after a few minutes this abates and they dry down really nice and Matte but still feel comfortable and hydrating. I think the shades really look true to the colour in the tube and they seriously last without leaving any behind on your glass, cup etc. I am super impressed with these.
Jane Iredale Spring Collection
As you know I have been a huge fan of the Jane Iredale range for over a year now. I love how easy this cruelty free brands products are to wear and how there is always a new product release that I add to my ever-growing collection. If you have not heard about the range yet you can check out my previous post HERE. Their new Spring range is so pretty and has something to suit all skin types and shades. Just recently I have been wearing these three products constantly. In Touch Cream Blush in shade Candid –
Jane Iredale In Touch Cream Blush in Candid
As someone that suffers with dry skin, a cream product or cream to powder product just works so well for me and that is exactly what this product is. A beautiful cream to powder blush that can be worn either under or over mineral make up adds a gorgeous flush of warm rose to my skin. It blends out to create a lovely, soft natural flush of colour and can be worn on the eyes too. Love keeping this in my make up bag. Also from the range are the Pure Pressed Eyeshadow Trios –
Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Eyeshadow Trio
These are deeply pigmented and yet so soft when applying and buffing out on the eyelids. The colour lays down true to the shade in the pan and last all day without budging. I am currently loving the shade Pink Quartz which really makes my blue/green eyes look so pretty. The size is super handy to pop in your back pocket if you want to upgrade your make up throughout the day. They also come in a gorgeous palette that has a great little mirror in the lid. Available in a variety of colours. Finally I have been enjoying wearing the Puremoist Lipstick
Jane Iredale Puremoist Lipstick in Shade Lisa
in Shade Lisa, but hold the phone!! I have just been on the website and discovered they have a shade called SHARON. Watch this space! That is a must have!! Anyway, back to Lisa, this shade is a very pretty Rose/Brown cross and I have been enjoying wearing this during the day. Incredibly creamy on the lips thanks to the inclusions of natural oils and superfruit extracts, it feels lovely and hydrating and lasts a long time on my lips. The packaging is also super sleek so deffo check this range out!
Bagsy Bronzed Brilliance
A brand new range to me, but one that I am loving, this collection of beautiful naturals created by Savannah Miller is a make up bag must have! The incredible part about this range is that ” This is beauty with a heart – for every bronzer sold, Bagsy will donate 15% of the profits to Women for Women International. Women for Women International supports women survivors of war, giving them the practical skills, tools and knowledge they need to rebuild their lives.” The reason I enjoy this bronazer is because it is not flat or muddy but adds that perfect pick me up of colour that looks as if I have just been kissed by the sun. It is so flattering on my 42 year old skin. It doesn’t contains any shimmer but has these clever pearlescent pigments which add a real radiance to the skin. It also looks incredible as an eyeshadow on a no makeup, make up day. I cannot recommend this highly enough plus how can you not like something that has the words “Glow and inspire” embossed on it?
Murad Matteffect Blotting Perfector
When this incredibly unique product was sent to me, I must admit, I was prepared to dislike it and never use it. However, being from Murad, a brand that I love and trust and have never had a bad product from (a bold but true statement) I knew I had to give it a go. A unique mix of skincare and makeup in a cushion compact may sound a little confusing ast first, but when you realise everything this product has to offer, i think you will be surprised. Described as being able to instantly mattify the skin , whilst refreshing and setting make up, I was very curious. We all know my skin is drier than a cork wedge heel in the summer, so I was worried that it would completely suck all hydration out of my skin. However, those guys at Murad are very clever. If you have oily skin, then yes, this would mattify it lovely. Harnessing the powers of Marshmallow powder, which absorbs sebum but not water, this leaves my skin feeling hydrated whilst cleverly and brilliantly hiding my pores! Wow! So the way I like to wear this product is I apply my usual primer and make up etc, then use this in the areas where my pores may need a little extra help after, just tap it on and let it dry. It instantly gives me a blurred, almost airbrushed look to my skin and I love it!
Peter ThomasRoth Cuecumber Gel Mask
It feels like all I do at the moment is slather myself in face masks in the hope of adding some moisture and brightness to my skin. One that I have really been enjoying for many months now is the Cucumber Gel mask from Peter Thomas Roth. This brand is perfect at addressing any skincare needs as Peter created the range after suffering from severe skin issues himself. Each product is created with the most powerful ingredients to create breakthrough skincare. This cucumber mask is something I use every now and then, if my skin has decided to play up or looks a little out of sorts. It is incredibly comforting and super hydrating. It doesn’t set hard, it stays as a gel and feels lovely and cooling on my skin. Packed full of nourishing extracts of Cucumber, Papaya, Chamomile, Pineapple, Sugar Maple, Sugarcane, Orange, Lemon, Bilberry and Aloe Vera, It can calm down my skin after sun exposure or just sooth and hydrate it , whilst relieving any redness I may have. It also helps with any hormonal blemishes I may have. I literally apply this mask generously over my face and neck, rest for 10 minutes and rinse with cool water. With one being sold every minute throughout the world, we can’t all be wrong!
Nanshy Brush and Sponge Cleaner
I get so shocked when I hear how many people do not clean their make up brushes often enough, if at all!! I spot clean my brushes after each use and do a deep clean at least every fortnight. Make up brushes and sponges harbour so much dirt and grime and oil as well as the make up and these can easily be the cause of breakouts and skin issues. Washing the brushes is quick and easy and something everyone must do. This vegan brush cleanser is so lovely and easy to use. I literally wet my brush, swirl it into this tin until it lathers, rinse dry and lay flat, making sure not to get the ferrul of the brush wet. Containing Vitamin E and coconut milk this brush cleanser really gets everything out of my brushes, leaves them fluffy, soft and smelling clean. Give it a try.
So these are just some of the products I have reached for time and time again this past month. Have you tried any of these? Which products have been your favourites this past month? Leave me a comment below.
