March : What was on my desk? Products i received in Beauty PR

This series seems to be going down so well with you all this year. I think sometimes its great to get a small overview of products rather than a full in-depth page review. As a beauty blogger I am lucky enough to receive many products from PR companies . Obviously I also buy waaaaay too many products myself, but hey, that’s what this blog is all about. I share with you the products I like and may not like so much. So here is what i was trialling from PR in March.

March PR Products

Lee Stafford Bigger Fatter Fuller Haircare Collection

Lee Stafford Bigger Fatter Fuller Haircare Collection

I know how many of you rushed out and bought the Coco Loco collection after i reviewed it HERE, and yes that is one of my favourites from Lee Stafford. The Bigger, Fatter, Fuller collection from the pink range is ideal for anyone that struggles with lacklustre, lifeless hair, that struggles to hold a bounce or curl or has lost that voluminous look. Now, without blowing my own trumpet i am not exactly lacking in the hair department so would not turn to this range as my everyday, however, on a night out, when i want that extra volume and bounce, this is incredible. I tested the Shampoo, Conditioner and Plumping cream and was amazed at how bigger my hair could get haha. Enriched with Panthenol, and a pro-volume complex this makes the hair glossy, sassy and voluminous. The scent is luxurious and fresh and you feel like you have had a salon treatment at home each and every time.
My top pick of this collection is 100% the Plumping Cream. This is genius. Remember back in the ’90s how we would add tons and tons of crunchy mouse to our hair to get lift and texture, well this does that without any of the crunch and hard hair. You apply the plumping cream to the roots of towel dried hair and smooth a little down the hair and blow dry. I like to tip my head upside down or use a diffuser and boy oh boy this gives you hair that reaches Heaven. MY MUST HAVE!

Vichy Dermablend

Vichy Dermablend

The Vichy Dermablend coverage range has been a huge love of mine for many, many years due to the confidence issues i used to suffer with my pigmentation. To be honest i enjoy many of Vichys products as you can read HERE and HERE as they just work amazingly well on a whole host of skincare concerns, including my mature skin. The Dermablend range offers that high coverage, long lasting hold, whilst being flawless, light and very natural looking. So whether you are someone that struggles with acne scarring, pigmentation, discolouration, dark circles or birth marks etc. I would really recommend you give this range a go. The foundation HERE offer such a great coverage but with an airbrushed look that you would never know i was wearing it.

I was sent the SOS Coverstick in shade Nude 25 to try.

Vichy Dermablend

At first i was a bit worried when i looked at it, that it would be one of THOSE cakey concealer sticks, but no! How silly of me, this feels creamy and smooth on the skin. Said to cover anything from minor to severe skin concerns for up to 16 hours and with an SPF 25, this is a fabulous concealer to keep wit you at all times. its great for those times when you may be at work and a spot suddenly appears, or for when any scaring on your skin is especially red and raised, this is the product to reach for. Perfect for all skin types, tones and ages, this is full proof, budge proof and smile proof. Recommended by dermatologists and used by make up artists, this is available in 5 shades.
I was also lucky enough to be sent the CoverMatte powder foundation in Nude 25. This 100% mineral based foundation offers a buildable coverage that can be used throughout the day to add formality to otherwise challenged skin, or to keep oil at bay. This brand new launch from Dermablend looks incredibly beautiful and high end in the packaging and comes with a sponge included for easy application. It is non comedogentic, suitable for normal, oily and acne prone skins and offers a flawless matte finish. As my skin is incredibly dehydrated, this is not one i would need to add to my collection, but i would recommend it to anyone that wants the ease and coverage of a mineral based powder with the protection and skin promise offered by Dermablend.

HD Brows Sculpt Stick

HD Brows Sculpt Stick

Yes!! If like me you adore contouring your face, but love cream products as you have a mature/dehydrated/dry skin tone, then hallelujah for High Definition Sulpt Stick. This product is absolutely brilliant at sculpting out the skin and laying down a beautiful, non ashy, non grey colour which feels super creamy on the skin, blends like a dream and just adds that perfect contour to the skin.

HD Brows Sculpt Stick

I have the warm shade due to my yellow undertones and find this perfect for my cheek contour, my jawline and down my nose. It is long lasting, hydrating and and super quick and easy to use plus the packing is super high end luxury. If you love to add definition to your face, reach for this.

As a self confessed serum addict, its always nice when i can bring you something a little different and i found that in the Living Nature Firming Flax Serum.

Living Nature Firming Flax Serum

Living Nature is a certified natural company born in New Zealand in 1987. Harnessing natural bioactives found in New Zealand’s active plants, plus the inclusion of powerful Manuka Honey, you have a beautifully earth friendly range of products that are also completely recyclable in their packaging. This really is a great brand that works so hard with nature and the benefits we can achieve by harnessing its powers. The Firming Flax Seed serum, is super light weight and has the texture of a  lotion, that sinks in perfectly on the skin, leaving behind a veil of lusciousness.

Living Nature Firming Flax Serum

This award winning, organic, oil free serum uses powerful Harakeke flax gel which is said to cause the pores to contract and prevent moisture from being lost. Active Manuka Honey nourishes the skin, whilst Rosehip oil rejuvenates the skin. I find this a great serum to work into fine lines and wrinkles as an almost targeted treatment, I have really been enjoying this serum and will continue to use it. They also have some beautiful day and night oils in the range so make sure to check those out.

Evolve Organic Beauty

Evolve Organic Beauty

Are a range of products that i am also featuring on the brand, their no fuss jargon and packaging makes for a premium skincare range at affordable prices. Two products that my son has been enjoying recently are the Daily Detox Facial Wash and Rainforest Rescue Blemish System. As someone that suffered years of teenage acne, he now has really beautiful skin that can still be prone to the odd breakout and can be affected greatly by shaving, sweating – due to daily training sessions and just because. Perfect for anyone with normal/combination skin this gently foams and cleanse the skin without stripping it. Full of natural sugars to gently slough away dead skin cells and brighten and smoothen the skin, plus papaya enzymes to nibble away at nasty’s this really leaves you with clean, protected skin. The addition of aloe vera protects the skin whilst natural peptides protect it from the elements. This is absolutely perfect fro my son also due to the unisex packaging and is perfect to keep in his sports bag. It has a delicately fresh scent and is my skin wasn’t super dehydrated, i would jump on this too. Another product that i am highly recommending. The final product received last month from Evolve was the Rainforest Rescue Blemish Serum containing willow bark which is an ingredient i absolutely adore on my skin, this is more for those with an oily/combination or prone to breakouts type skin. This award winning serum can be used daily as your fight against oily/blemish prone skin. It has a lovely slip factor which means it melts into the skin easily without causing any redness or sensitivity to the skin and balances it out beautifully. Read more about Evolve HERE and HERE

Hempz –

This herbal body moisturiser is perfect at nourishing and hydrating the skin. Enriched with 100% natural Hemp oil it immediately sinks into the skin leaving it looking smooth and feeling soft and silky. This cute 66ml size is perfect to keep in your bag as it works amazingly as a hand cream.
