It’s National Fragrance Week and I am featuring another beautiful fragrance on my blog. Today features Aqua Paradisi from Le Couvent Des Minimes. I had not tried their fragrances before this, but had really enjoyed their candles. This was a first for me and I have really enjoyed it!
According to the packaging ” Founded in 1614 in Haute-Provence, ‘Le Couvent des Minimes’, the convent, is a place steeped in a rich 400 year history, one time residence of King Louis XIV’s botanist, Louis Feuillee. The cleric’s studies of rarefied flora paved the way for what we referred to as ‘Botanica Nobilis’. Phew….
This is the type of fragrance that, on paper, I shouldn’t like as it contains Rose, which is not my favourite (unless it is tuberose) however, the blend of fresh florals and fruits make this a botanical journey for the senses. One spray literally has you drifting of into paradise. It is so relaxing, a little flirty as it dances on the skin and very uplifting. The Rose and Geranium blend remind me of a walk in a Rose garden on a Warm Summers day. It is not that sickly, cloying fragrance of Rose but something sweeter and lighter that makes this a wonderful young, Spring/Summer fragrance.
Created using rare, natural and vegan ingredients and bleneded in the tradion of French Haute Parfumerie, this fragrance is sophistaced and luxurious. With notes of Bergamot, Pelargonium essence, and Violet to showcase the Rose and Geranium you have a very bespoke fragrance.
The cologne is super long lasting on the skin and is a fragrance that people notice. Not one that I would where often, as it is a little sweet, but none the less I can wear it and still appreciate its beauty.
If you are looking for a Soft, Delicate, Modern and yound flirty fragrance, this is definitely one to try.
