‘SOS Serum offers a range of skin care products that help keep skin healthy and protected, designed with the needs of diabetics in mind.

allergic reaction to fragrance

Having used this brand myself on my dehydrated skin, I can tell you the levels of hydration are wonderful – thanks to the inclusion of the Hyaluronic and other Active ingredients. I also used this after a horrible allergic reaction to fragrance, I had seen my GP, used a prescribed cream that dried out and cracked my skin, leaving it sore and itchy, then went on to use the SOS Serum and Day Serum, (the photo above is day 1 of my allergic reaction and all the photos in this post were taken 5 days later), with exceptional results. I really wanted to share this brand and this range with you. With just three products in its range, I am sure you will find something suitable for everyone.

SOS H2O Day Serum

SOS H20

This gloriously lightweight, silky Day Cream has the most soothing and cooling effect upon application. This innovative formulation blends powerful active plants stem cells, which we all know and love, and anti-ageing ingredients such as White Truffle (packed with Minerals and Amino Acids) and Green Grape (loaded with Antioxidants and Nutrients) which have been shown to stimulate new skin cell production and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

For me though, it is the low level molecular Hyaluronic Acid which makes this such a wonderfully hydrating serum. It is able to penetrate deeper into the skin allowing that hydration to really increase skins elasticity, suppleness and overall look and feel of the skin. This is super important on those suffering with a sensitised skin because hydration is absolutely key on sore, irritated, inflamed skin. That is not all, this super light weight Day Cream, that sinks in immediately without leaving any greasy residue behind, also contains a Broad Spectrum UVA and UVB protection SPF 30 meaning you are protected from the get go (although a SPF would also be needed for brighter days with more time spent outside).

SOS H20

This has been a pleasure to use daily after cleansing, I have really seen a great bounce and smoothness to my skin, with fine lines less pronounced due to the exceptional level of hydration. Obviously always patch test any new product, but especially more important on a sensitive skin. If you have a Winter ravaged skin, an ageing skin, or a problematic skin, this would be wonderful to use daily.

SOS Serum

SOS SERUM

This gel like product really does pack a punch! Super cooling on a hot, flushed skin, this provides immediate relief from itchy, sore, dry, and problematic skin conditions. Containing Wasabi & Burdoch Leaf Extracts, this probably sounds like something you wouldn’t put on your skin right? Well, Wasabi has such great Anti-inflammatory properties as well as being full of Antioxidants and has been used for years and years in skincare. Burdoch Leaf Extract goes way back and has a long history of treating the skin. It has a de-sensitising affect on the skin which makes it perfect for use on bites, burns and nettles stings. Add to that the inclusion of Lauromacrogols-which acts as an anaesthetic and the soothing cooling Peppermint, and what you have here is your one-stop-shop skin rescue product.

SOS SERUM CAN BE USED ON ELBOWS

Not a traditional serum in the sense of a day and evening application after cleansing and before moisturising but a treatment serum that can be used for a plethora of symptoms:

  • Reduce itching caused by Eczema, Psoriasis and Dermatitis
  • Support the withdrawel of Steroid Creams
  • Treat & Soothe bites, plant & Insect stings and minor burns
  • Soothes and Hydrates wind chapped and sun damaged skin
  • Quickly and effectivley manage allergic flare ups
  • Provide extra moisture for elbows and knees

SOS SERUM ON KNEES

This really is a serum that should be a staple in all households, and thanks to its 50ml size is perfect to take on holiday to help with any sunburn or insect bites. This product will really come into its own in the school Summer holidays if you have kids, perfect for days out and long walks through the forest! A real Save our Skin product that does what it says on the packaging! Suitable for face and body.

SOS SPF 50

SOS SPF50

Containing extracts of active Soy Bean Stem Cell and Vitamin E, this light weight, non whitening SPF glides onto the skin beautifully, sinking quickly in as it does. This Broad Spectrum mineral based SPF containing Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide is said to deliver Ultimate UVA and UVB protection. Reef friendly – which is super important – this fragrance free formula is suitable for all the family and can be used on the face and body.

SOS SPF 50

Now, obviously it is freezing cold and Winter right now, but we all know the importance of wearing SPF daily (I hope!) So I have been wearing this under my make up and can say that it hydrates my dehydrated skin perfectly, doesn’t cause any flashback in photos, doesn’t leave any white cast on the skin and feels almost like a silky make up primer.

sos serum flatlay

I have really enjoyed using and testing these products and i hope you will too. I think it must be so hard for someone struggling with a skin condition to find something that works, something that soothes and hydrates the skin. Obviously check all skin conditions with your GP first and patch test before trying out any new products, but i really think you will find some relief from sore, inflamed, itchy, dry skin using SOS Serum Products. All products come in air tight pump containers to keep it fresh for each use.

I would love it if you would share this post with any of your friends or family that you think may be struggling with skin issues. For more information, testimonials or to purchase anything from the SOS range that i have mentioned above, please visit their website HERE

I hope you have found this post useful, please let me know if you try out any of these products and keep me posted on your skin care journey. SOS – Diabetes friendly skincare.
