Happy New Year everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and well! I had a few other posts to start of 2021 with, but I was so inspired by this Lisa Armstrong X Avon make up range that I just couldn’t wait to share it. A little late to the party on this I know, I have had it a couple of months but sadly and emergency op at the end of November put pay to that!
Anyway enough waffling and here we are. As you may already know Lisa Armstrong is an incredibly talented celebrity make up artist of over 20 years. She has worked on programmes such as This Morning, The X factor, Britains Got Talent and is currently head of hair and make up at Strictly Come Dancing so if I am going to love anyones range it’s going to be hers! Created with affordability, capability and wearability in mind, this is a range I have quickly fallen in love with. From the soft touch nude pink packaging, to the formulation and pigments, I have so far become hooked on everything I have tried.
All about the base priming moisturiser
Quite possibly one of the best primers I have used in a while, this is beautiful. All about the base is an incredibly hydrating matte primer, that melts into the skin, plumping, cushioning and preparing it for make up. Immediately after application the skin looks smoother and softer and feels nourished. Make up sits perfectly and it smells glorious!!
Containing Vitamin E and Shea Butter All about the base priming moisturiser leaves the skin feeling nourished with its refreshingly addictive almost citrusy scent. Dimethicone gives it that great slip factor upon application, meaning the skin doesn’t drag and helps blur the look of pores and imperfections.
I absolutely love the feel of this on my Mature skin and even though I am a dehydrated skin rather than an oily one, it does not dry out my skin. A very well thought out product that will become a constant repurchase….if you like Bobbi Brown Vitamin E Cream…..#justsayin….. Available HERE
Cheat the Heat Bronzing Powder
If you struggle finding the perfect bronzer for you, that doesn’t look too orange, or grey and muddy I think you might like this. Cheat the Heat Bronzing Powder comes in two pretty finishes. Sunset Glow is Matte and I have Sunrise Shimmer which has a pretty like shimmer to it. Now I really enjoy this bronzer, I love how it adds that sun-kissed look to the skin that we are all missing at this time of year, and how naturally pretty it looks on the skin. My only downside is sadly they only have these two shades so if you are super dark or super pale, these will probably not be suitable, and also this is my least favourite packaging from the products I have tried, I would have loved the Rose gold finish on this.

If you are looking for an eye product that does all the hard work so that you don’t have to, Dazzle stick is the perfect one stop shop eyeshadow stick. Available in 7 creamy, pigmented shades, these blend to a dream quickly, layering down the depth of pigment you want. You can apply these and blend with your finger or brush and build up the colour as desired.
I have the shade Goldmine which is a beautifully soft shimmering Gold that I personally like to place in the centre of my lid and under my lower lash line for a pop of colour and the warm and seductive Bronzed shade which works beautifully on the outer corner of the lid to add some Smokey depth. When swatched, I admit these shades look similar, but on the thinner skin of the eyelid they are different. All the shades in the range can be mixed and matched to create a bespoke to you look and once on stay put. A really great addition to any make up collection and perfect for anyone that wants “easy make up” Available HERE
A waterproof mascara that lengthens the lashes and adds that luxurious look. Usually I don’t wear waterproof mascara and prefer a more Va-Va-Voom type of look…BUT! If I want a luxurious looking lash, a dinner date lash (as opposed to a girls night out lash) this is the style I go for. This Miraculous Volume Mascara lengthens my lashes beyond belief, thanks to the lengthening brush and don’t get me started on the bottom lashes! They literally appeared from no where! Easily removable with an oil based make up remover, this will fast become a staple in your make up bag! Available HERE
Colour Within the lines lipliner
The name of this lipliner always reminds me of a line from Sex In The City (if you know you know)… Anywhoo, available in 10 pretty shades, all allegedly named after Lisa’s friends, these are fab. Soft and creamy liners that do not break, with the perfect point for precision application and in a plethora of shades to compliment the Matte and Satin lip colours. I have Emma, which is currently my favourite and the one you can see me wearing below, a beautiful Rose Pink, Clare which is a lovely Beige Nude and Zoe a very Pale Pink Nude. These are so affordable and well worth purchasing at just £8! Available HERE
Matteiculous & Satincredible Lipstick
I am obsessed with these lipsticks!! I only have 3 shades here and am desperate to try the reds so I think they will be my next purchase. Lisa has hit the nail on the head with these lipsticks. The packaging is just stunning in that soft matte style with nude pink colourway and the magnetic lids mean you will never find a messy lipstick in your bag! The colours are gorgeous and the pigment is literally one swipe for full colour though of course you can build.
The Mattes feel hydrating on the lips and do not dry down chalky or crumbly and the Satins are creamy in feel and remind me of the texture of Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks. If you love scented lipsticks these have that hit of vanilla sweetness, which personally I like, you will become as obsessed with these as I am. Available HERE
The Lisa Armstrong X Avon range is beautiful. I can see lots of celebrity inspiration coming from KKW beauty inspired packaging, Charlotte Tilbury Inspired liners and lipsticks and Bobbi Brown inspired primer ( all my opinion and I could be totally wrong ) but the affordability, the dressing table glamour and the way these products feel on the skin is incredibly luxurious. My favourite products and the ones I would recommend first are without a doubt the Lipsticks and the All about the base primer. I bloody love this collection and look forward to trying the foundation and more lipsticks from the range.
The Lisa Armstrong X Avon range is exclusive to Avon and is available HERE
