When The new Urban Decay palette dropped about a month ago, i knew i had to have it. As a long Time UD wearer i have most of their palettes and couldn’t wait to check this one out but reviews left me wondering whether this new Urban Decay Naked NaCyber Palette would be a Hit or Miss.
I purchased mine full price from Cult Beauty for £45.00 but right now on Look Fantastic HERE, you can use my discount code BACKTOYOUBEAUTY and get if for £36.00 which is great value for this full sized, Vegan palette.
I featured a turorial of this palette on my Instagram a while back and so many people were shocked at how wearable a palette with the word CYBER in, actually was. So i decided to share it on here too.
Naked Cyber Palette contains 12 beautiful peach/nude shades ( with a stunning blue duo-chrome and burnt orange thrown in). These consist of satins, mattes, metallics and two new duo-chrome formulas. You have crease shades and glitter toppers and can literally create a plethora of beautiful looks from day to night. The magical peach duo-chrome shifts to a stunning blue, whereas the gorgeous shade Cyberspace is a very pretty peach/mint shift.
The packaging is gorgeous, very tactile and robost and looks lovely on the dressing table. Inside you get a double ended-brush which i have already lost, but to be fair the UD brushes are always really lovely to use and do stay in my brush collection.
The colours are very pastel inspired easy to blend and wear with little to no fall out…however, the shimmer shades feel a little gritty to touch. With only 3 true matte shades in the palette it might be a little difficult to create some looks and i feel that most of these shadows work best as toppers for other colours from different palettes. That being said i have worn this palette on its own quite a lot and do really enjoy it.
I think where people may have been getting confused is that for a palette with the word CYBER in it, you may have been expecting more deeper, bold, galatic shades. This is not the one. This is more of a very weareable, nude shade palette that we come to know and expect from the Urban Decay Naked palettes.
Is the Urban Decay Naked Cyber Palette a Hit or a miss? Well, i actually think if more lighter, pastel colours are your comfort zone, but you want to experiement a little, it’s a great palette. Those topper shades in Static, Y3k and Cyberspace will most definitley add that little hit of something something and give you a hit of colour and sparkle. If you are looking for a more Autumnal warm palette then i would give the Naked Heat palette a go.
