I know so many devoted LG fans will be pleased to hear that Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten is back! Some devotees of this iconic product have really been struggling to get their hands on this Baked delight but i am here to tell you it will be available on 3rd February as part of a Todays Special Value Collection. Whoop Whoop!

Laura Geller QVC TSV February

This four piece collection is certainly not ground breaking in its contents, and maybe considered a little boring BUT, if you have been waiting to stock up then this will be the one you want.

Included in the Laura Geller Beauty Todays Special Value are the following products:

Baked Balance-n-Brighten 9g

Laura Geller Balance n Brighten foundation

The iconic, one stop shop to flawless skin, baked foundation from Laura Geller is, of course, the star of this collection. Now, I know thousands and thousands of people are huge fans of this foundation, but for people purchasing for the first time,  they get to create their perfect canvas with this product.

Balance-N-Brighten Foundation is created from liquid pigments which are baked in Italy for 24 hours on terracotta tiles. This means, even dry skin can use this without it causing further dryness, caking or adding a cracked look to the skin. Regular readers of mine may know that I have incredibly dehydrated skin, caused by medication. Therefore my 45 year old skin has to be very, very careful what it wears. I do prefer a liquid foundation now-a-days because of this, however I have been wearing Laura Geller B’n’B for many, many years without compromise.
For me though, making sure my skin is moisturised well and primed before application is a must. I swirl my brush into the marbled compact, picking up a little of each colour and buff it over my face. Instantly the light reflecting particle’s brighten my skin, the darker shades cover any blemishes and pigmentation and it colour corrects my skin whilst leaving a lovely, natural looking finish and even coverage . This foundation can be expertly applied by you in seconds! It is easily build-able and you can pick out certain colours from the pan to give more coverage over a blemish, or use over the eyes and create your own bespoke look. I also love to use this as a setting powder over my liquid foundation. Very versatile and iconic product. I wear shade Medium. Usually available in shades Porcelain, Fair, Light, Medium, Golden Medium, Tan and Deep. I know so many of you will be super happy that Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten is back!

Spackle Concealer 5ml

Laura Geller Spackle Concealer in Light

I personally have this concealer in my collection and really enjoy it. With Spackle Primer mixed in with incredible pigments you get a really light, yet creamy concealer that has the ability to fill in fine lines (spackle) whilst concealing any discolouration or blemishes. I love this under my mature eyes as it doesn’t sit in the fine lines  much, makes my dark circles practically disappear and lasts all day. It is also great at covering up my pigmentation and the redness around my nose. Apply before balance-n-brighten – I prefer to use a beauty sponge for application. You will receive the same shade concealer as foundation.

Retractable Kabuki Brush

Perfect for use with the Balance-n-Brighten this synthetic retractable brush is super soft on the skin. It also comes in its own gift box if you have enough brushes and want to pass this on.

Cosmetics Bag

You also receive a waterproof “Glossier style” Cosmetics bag which can be used for travelling or holding wet flannels after an overnight stay. Sadly the plastic zip component on mine broke with first use, was easy to clip back on and then kept breaking off, so not something I will probably use.

My Thoughts on this collection

What to say….. it really depends what you are looking for in your QVC Todays Special Values. Two products a brush and a bag is not very exciting for me personally, BUT…. I know there has been a real shortage of Balance-n-Brighten and people are starting to run out at this time of year. The quality and value are there of course, as well as a great saving. Not my favourite collection but still some of my favourite products.

I am one of those who have several unused B&B’s from previous TSV’s so find this long anticipated TSV a little underwhelming. I have also found that B&B has changed over the years and is more “powdery” than before and I now tend to use it as a face powder rather than foundation. I do, however, love the kabuki brushes. Thanks for the info though, as always, spot on.

Hi Pam, I understand completely, many people have mentioned how the formula has changed but Laura Geller Beauty have stated its the same. I think this is a real marmite collection for many x

Very boring I agree, but an essential for me so I am equally as happy as I would have been if it was new exciting products!
    Thanks for the review 🙂

  3. Lucy says:

I have used B&B for 12 or 13 yrs, although now often as a finishing touch over a liquid foundation. This set is simple but after a LG drought it is a great one to stock up on for the basics. Definitely will get one shade, even though I am supposed to be on a buying ban 🤣🤣🤣 xxx Lucy xxx

  4. Looks fab,thank you Sharon 😊

  5. Emma Courtney says:

This has to be the dullest LG TSV to date. I used to buy every TSV (despite the fact I dont like B&B down to the colour options) , but you used to get eye products, lips and a blush in each kit. I think they must be pulling away from QVC UK as they are in department stores now. Such a shame

I think as a TSV it could have been a little bit more extra, this would work better as a one time only, but for people that just want to stock up on the basic I suppose its ok
