Business as usual – sort of..

You have probably been seeing a lot more of my face, live in conversation, all over Social Media this week and with very good reason. The World is going through some absolutely crazy shit right now and I have made it my mission for my sanity and anyone else that reads and follows this blog, to make my World, our World on the t’interweb a happy place to be. It’s going to be Business as usual – sort of..

Business as usual - sort of

With so much worry, anxiety and confusion going on, people and children now working from home, these are going to be some trying times. I am going to keep it business as usual on my blog and I hope you don’t mind.

This blog was born at a time in my life when I was seriously ill and didn’t think I would survive. This blog is my lifeline, my business, my income and most importantly something that keeps me sane and my mind occupied.

Stress free working from home

I know so many of you have expressed the same to me, it’s a place where you can get lost in lipsticks and skincare whilst drinking a cuppa tea or glass of wine and forget about the world. Please do not for one moment think I am not concerned about real life…. I have a parent that is alone and grieving and has underlying health concerns so has to social distance, a child with Asthma, an older son who is quite literally on the front lines and am self employed, with a self employed husband out of work due to an accident. I know how scary this time is, I have to home school my son, look after my family, earn a wage and navigate my way through this crazy new existence the same as all of you, but lets virtually hold hands and get through it together.

have a work from home schedule

If you see my content, please support me, Share, Like, Comment and let me know you are there. Wherever you are reading what I’m writing and enjoying what I am sharing, I am here for you. Lets get lost in bubble baths and indulge in facemasks, lets paint our eyes bright new shades and gloss our lips to their upmost glossiest, because my God through it all I am going to be looking my most glamourous in a red lip!!

Lets keep some normality, lets keep in touch, lets communicate. My content may change slightly (it might not) if I come across great new ways to entertain the kids, gifts you can send in the post to cheer up a loved one, or a book or film I want to recommend, but at the heart of it will be Beauty. If you are saving your pennies, as I guess most of us will be, write a list of all the things you have seen on my blog that you like and when we get through this, which we will, treat yourself.

I am here for you as much as you are for me, my comment section and Dm’s are always open…. I am here for you all.

Why not sign up to Instagram, it’s free, and follow me over there too.  I am on there on instastories live most days doing unboxings or make up looks and sharing anything new in the Beauty world… its going to remain Business as usual – sort of..

Stay in touch….Promise?

Lots of Love

Sharon, xx

What a great blog post. We all have to keep each other sane, or at least laughing. These are challenging times so everything counts. I am keeping up my routines and upping the pampering where possible – using my Elasticizer, discovering a renewed love for forgotten face masks as well as indulging in my trusted ones. Before this crisis I often had no make up days when at home, now I am making the effort to paint my face every day, before going into my studio to paint my paper, if only to decide which products are my faves and which I am ‘mheh’ about. When this is over we must raise our glasses together, in person one day, and appreciate everyone who gets us through this. Hoping you and all your loved ones stay well and stay safe xxxx Lucy xxxx

Thanks Sharon. In the coming months I think we’re all going to need some “virus free” downtime every day. Although I’m used to being on my own a lot of the time the thought of not having any of my usual social interactions with friends or being able to go to the theatre or a film or a concert for such a long time is not something I’m looking forward to. So to still have your newsy and informative beauty blogs will be great.

Hi Christine, thank you so much for taking the time to post a comment, it really does mean a lot to me. I am hoping to create lots of colourful and lighthearted content to keep people busy and take their mind of off things for a shirt time. Always here for you xx

Great blog as usual. Hope you and your family are well. This lockdown has been very hard as I am missing my son dreadfully and I think it is worse as I am on my own and being a tactile huggy person I have no one to hug! However, I have also been putting on the makeup most days and trying different looks – not always great though. I have also taken the chance to sort through and clear out some of the tons of nail varnishes which I have accumulated over the years. Going to start on lipsticks next as I am a hoarder and will never change but maybe I can downsize the hoard. Thanks for being there and take care and stay safe xxxx
