Make Up Revolution x Friends Collaboration

It is not very often i feature high street, affordable make up on my blog, but who can resists a Friends collaboration? When i heard that there was a new launch Make Up Revolution x Friends Collabration, i was sold.

Sadly the day i went online, launch day, most things were sold out, but i did manage to get my hands on the Rachel Palette. Since then there has been a restock so i will share the links below, but whilst you are here lets take a look at this palette.

The Make Up Revolution x Friends Collaboration Racheal palette comes in the cutest packaging. Pink cardboard packaging with an image of the famous Coffee House sofa. This photo is replicated on the palette its self which is made of a more sturdy card packaging. When i opened the palette i was so surprised at just how pretty it was. For an £8 palette i certainly wasnt expecting a mirror, so was surprised to see one included.

The  9 shades are just my cup-of-coffee, warm pinks, browns and golds with mattes, shimmers and pressed pigments. I created a really pretty look with this palette but, it took some blending. Some of the colours really need building. The shade Barneys is a little patchy and Chip fell apart in the pan. I also experienced lots of fallout. However, Push Over is an absolutely beautiful shade as is Crush.

Will i use this palette again? Yes absolutely because the shades that are good are very good, however , because of the amount of fallout, it is important to do your eyes first and then the rest of your foundation and concealer after so that you can clean up.

In my opinion, it is what it is  – a lovely £8 palette that i s full of nostalgia.  It is not the greatest palette i have ever tried and most certainly not the worst. I think with Christmas coming up this is a great collection to get someone starting out in Make Up or just a huge friends fan. Well done to Revolution for scoring this collaboration with something as iconic as Friends. I am  happy to have a piece of nostalgia in my make up collection.

The Friends Collection is available from Revolution HERE or from Superdrug HERE

Is this your kind of palette? What do you think of the Make Up Revolution x Friends Collaboration will you be purchasing? I would love to hear your thoughts so do please leave me a comment below.

Have a lovely day

Lots of Love, Sharon xx
